Shooting Guard in Youth Basketball : Youth Basketball Shooting Guard: Three Point Shots

I play at 2 guard just because I'm taller than our Point Guard and am better at catching and shooting than he is but I play more as a point guard when I have the ball and when I don't I prefer to play as a slasher so I don't feel the need to take this shot. I guess as long as your team has at least one guy that is good from 3 then you should go ok.

@wesly65 Yeah Im a small forward too. Now the leading scorers of nba regular season were : 1. Kevin Durant (27,9) 2. LeBron James (26,7) 3. Carmelo Anthony (25,6).

All of them small forwards. Shooting guards are good scorers too : 4. Dwyane Wade (25,5) 6. Kobe Bryant (25,2). But I prefer small forwards cause they are the best athletes.

shooting gaurds, depending on your coach and your ability could be used for many things...or course stealing and blocking is meant for everyone to do...tho blocking for posts mainly lol...shooting gaurds, essentially are for spot up shooting...they are normally the ones to get the ball to and get that open three or easy j...they can also go in for a lay in if the defense allows, hope that answers it

Shooting Guards can do anything with the ball, they are meant to attack offensively and need to be a bit prepared defensively.

Shooting Guards can pull up and shoot the Jump shot, or take it strong the hoop, an amazing reference and best SG in our league today is Kobe Bryant, MVP.
