Starting a new paintball team...

I need help I'm 14 and I'm addicted to pb there is no team/league my age so my friend and are hoping to start one but I need advice as to how to go about getting people. We were thinking 3 man teams with a tourney once a month or very other month.how much do we charge cause are field is field paint only. We also thought that if kids want rental guns that's fine? Any help please!!!!

@paintballtechpb .young guns 3v3 is like a $100 a person paint depends how much you use and where you play. i know your talking about making a team thats guna play in 7v7 cash prize tournements. but for kids 10-16 young gun tournements are great. here is how i think of it if you get 2 guys from your field and every time your field host a tourny. its not that bad.

@TexasTitans1863 Age doesn't really matter except for fields. They require a minimum age to play on fields. Here in Central California you have to be 13 or older to be on the field. I know a few people under 20 with teams.

Right on the money Mike. I doubted your vidz until like 4 months ago, and after watching this... I gotta agree, PBNation is the worst site to talk about teams! Little boys and even some adults just aren't ready to be civil. I am about to start my own team, and since I have 17 years playing time, I think it'll be ok. I'll definately stick to the script tho. @mrboobcrash Go to a local field and talk to the refs or look at a bulletin board. Or you could just get people to play with you and then go from there

@mrboobcrash i found my team by just going to tournaments and normal walk-on games, and talked to the different teams. if theres a team there that impresses you, you could ask them what their joining requirements are. Most teams(unless they are pro or Division 1) would be glad to have a new player to add to their roster! Ask around. Just dont brag about your skills. If you brag youre absolutely amazing, and you tryout, and fail, it looks embarrasing for you. Try out, have fun, make the team!!!

@blackvoidnexus he is really talking about speedball since a speedball team is much harder to have then a woodsball team. Its much more expensive and you usually have to travel a lot more. But this is general basics for any sort of paintball team just use woodsball tactics.

Nope, You can go play recreational play(most fields is Saturday is rec. Sunday is teams). Around here Saturday is mostly younger/ less experienced players. I hope this helps.
