@TheRandyChimp i think the reason it wasn't in the film was because it is very narration heavy. The audience wouldn't have catched Patrick's idea and Would've just seen a child being murdered.

@TheMonsteroftheEast Exactly, unfortunately a lot of important parts like that were left out. But they did use some narration though and I wish they'd been bold enough to do more.

I love his description of the ZOO. It sounds just like the one in Copenhagen and the one in Berlin. ZOOs are sick.

This was one of my favourite chapters when I read the book recently even though it's thought provoking and very disturbing
