first off...i dislike Palin to the very core of my being...but let's not tell BS just to make a point.

Down Syndrome is caused by 1 of 3 types of Chromosone defects that happen during cell division...spin it how you want it's not caused by flying in a plane at 7 months pregnant or by being overly active....all that can cause is miscarriage or prematurity....not defect. and i believe he WAS premature, though not too much at 35 weeks, 38 is considered term.

Palin was 44 when Trig was born. she had a 1 in a 100 chance to have a baby with DS. Bristol was 16 at the time of conception she would have had a 1 in 2000 chance or greater to have a child with DS. the risk at age 25 is 1 in 1,250 and increases with age. I've had 3 kids and never showed till well into mth 8. not everyone shows early. i hate her, but i wont buy into BS just to make her look bad.

And knowing that her child was seek and needed extra care, it was child abuse for her to risk not being near a doctor while in labor. Your comment was to defend the right to put off child birth for a time more convenient to her, But if the mother's rights are more important than a child's right to have adequate healthcare (hence your comment) then there can be no reason to be against abortion. But abortion is everything Palin has campaigned against So the only thing a smart person can conclude from Palin's abuse of her child during it's most vulnerable hours is that there are fates worse than death.

what kind of mother would travel such distances after her water breaks to deliver a high risk baby in a back woods hospital with no neo natal department? Her water broke a month pre mature, Isn t that enough to convince Palin to run to the nearest hospital. Doesn t make sense! When my wife's water broke we rushed to the hospital. In fact we stayed close to home for two months prior to the due date just in case our child came pre mature.... There is more to this story.... there has to be.

The CBC is a very respecable news agency. The Canadian media has the advantage of being a non U.S. corporation; allowing them to report on subjects that the U.S media would never dare attempt. If the CBC is raising these questions about PALIN then there is probably something to this story. I'm Republican and I like Palin, but I DO believe this bizarre rumor. I really have a sinking feeling. Sarah does not act or talk like a mother to a newborn (requiring 24-hour attention!) and Bristol holds the baby like a Mother would. It's all there.
