  • What can i say, every single piece in mr.Perahia's hands goes alive as if i close my eyes and i can imagine what the composer was thinking at the time

  • Such passionate interpretation.

  • this is wow

  • @morvensky: furthermore, having played this piece many times I can tell you he is incredibly faithful to the score. It is you, sir, who is pathetic.

  • @morvensky. How well do you play? Can you play this particular étude tableaux or any of them for that matter? Have you seen the sheet music for this piece? I have heard both perahias and rachmaninoffs recordings of this piece. They scarcely differ but for the quality of sound. You clearly do not like perahia. You have bad taste. He's one of the best and his interpretation is superlative!

  • false, he performs it really "appassionato".... with a dimension of the dream in more.... the reason why it's more interesting than many versions

  • Bravo Murray!!! Phenomenal interpretation!!! 5 stars!!!

only one minor mistake: in measure 65 he plays F instead of F sharp :-)

  • perahia and pletnev plays this piece the best!

    so much passion and sadness

  • Sooooo Beautiful! I have him playing this on his CD of the Aldenburg Recital. I cried the first time I heard it! He is one of the top pianists of our time! Thank you so much for the post.

  • my to ! this is so different version from horowitz kissin and argerich!

  • one of my favourite versions
