From absorbing the shadow, Mephiles also gained Shadows abilities. Because his form is due to absorbing Shadow's shadow, the real form of Mephiles is unknown.

i like the new ones better. at least for sonic, shadow, tails, and knuckles. rouge's new voice has it's moments, and i don't really care about eggman. mike pollock and deem bistrow were both really good. and dan green is the only one could pull off mephiles the dark's amazingly creepy laugh, and yugi like voice. and besides, the old actors wouldn't fit in the new games. Example: Ryan Drummond tried out to be sonic in sonic x but was refused because he didn't fit.

Actually, Ryan Drummond didn't get the part for Sonic X because 4kids was based in New York, and he said he would have moved to New York if they would have contacted him sooner. In my opinion, the new actors put in either too much or too little emotion and Rouge's new voice makes her sound like she's 50 while she's supposed to be 17. Of course, this is only my opinion, so if anyone likes the new voice actors, no offense XD
