  • By Accident I saw this , and realized I use to sing this in KV school as Sanskrit song,

never realty realized it's impotence of meaning. Sometimes it takes 30 years to learn simple lessons. I am glad I was thought Sanskrit for 3 school years by Srinivas Sir.

  • wow cool kids

  • Brilliant!

Really touched by the effort taken by these students and their teachers.

  • I am an ordinary Indian and I'm touched by this video.Alas,I couldn't learn Sanskrit in my school. You know why?Because it's considered COMMUNAL in my country to teach Sanskrit to school students.

But I've made a resolve to learn this language of my ancestors.I will.

  • excellent... i dont have words to explain how nicely and sweetly those kids sung the prayer... they remind me of my country .. the fragrance of the soil, mountains and rivers and many more India is real heaven of the earth.... i wish i could be there to gratitude those children for the singing heart touching SANSKRIT song for the common wealth baton ceremony.. and grateful to maunish vyas to translate the Sanskrit to make everyone know the deep meaning of Sanskrit prayer...

  • Thanks a lot to thses british students. And thanks to the teacher who made them able for chanting mantras. Very cool and energetic.....

  • learn your history and you will know how the white british did everything they could to destroy india, erase sanskrit from india and today we should thank them for what?..looted indiaa into poverty, stole all our wealth, killed millions upon millions of innocent people, and today we SHOULD THANK THEM!!..british created a racist baised christian eduation system to be iposed on indians, ilike the nazis teaching the jews about history, would a jew trust a nazi verison of jewsish history?..

  • masterpiece...: )

  • i am very proud of this!

  • Wonderful. These children and their teachers should be commended. Will our CW organising commitee follow or will they pretend to be secular and show us something else.

  • Beuatiful!

  • marvelous! it is such a shame that this is no where done in its origin country anymore except few vedic schools!

Thanx to missionary schools making children sing carols instead!

  • @chickenflu4 That is a bit of hyperbole. Yes. Like everywhere on this planet, classical languages whether it is Sanskrit or Latin are not in evidence in daily life. May be you should visit schools run by Ramakrishna Mission and other such organizations. Sanskrit is very much alive. On another note, in "the golden olden days", use Samskrit was restricted to higher castes and the elite. Even women were restricted to Prakrit. (Refer to Kalidasa's plays)

  • @SriFeb7 you mean like latin was only restricted to only the elite also......dont critizie our land before you realise the truths of other lands, esp the christian lands who promote the notion that sansrkit was used by high castes, yes it was, just like latin was used only in hight castes of europe, Sansrrit was the offical adninminstrative and religoius language of india...throught out india, the reason why sanskrit was not allwoed to all people, was to keep its INTEGRITY and Content.

  • itts like the nazis teaching the jews about history, would a jew trust a nazi verison of jewsish history?..then nor should any indians trust any version of indian history that has european commentary...How many sanskrti sciptures have been edited by the british to create DEEP HURT in hindusism, only NOW we are realising how the britsh heinously changed certain passages to HUMILATE santan dharma..to make indians hate their own relifon ...DONT EVER THANK BEFORE U KNOW WHAT YOUR THANKIN

  • @TheDharmaArmyofASIA I'd like to recommend you "The true History and the Religion of India" by H.D.Swami Prakashanand Saraswati.I can give you likns where you can get it.It revels all the British schemes to demean and mutilate history of India and the Vedic religion.

  • you need to understand indian history before you go making assumptions. Sanskrit as an offical language was erased by the british empire, they saw nothing good in sanskrti, and to have a greater hold on india, they destroyed lanauges like sanskirt, they destroyed native indain schools, they destroyed sansrkit books, so ask yourself why india is not psuhing ssnskrit like its ancestors had. India after another 50years will return back to its rooits its only been 60years since indepnae

  • and you THANKING THE MISSIONARY SCHOOLS....it goes to show the low level of intelligence you have. The christian missionary schools are exactly the same as islamic maddras schools, the chritsians for 250years enslavd, murdered, and raped india into poverty, they stole all its wealth, missionaries would travel africa, india, china,. america, forcing their bible onto others, toruturing those who did no agree or convert, from africa., to austrlai, to america, to india, pirates in priests clothing

  • @OneDharmaYouMovement dude ever heard sarcasm?? never mind!

  • @chickenflu4 lol.....yeh i see that..but i wasnt so sure with the other people....so i had to make that clear...WHITE people dont know about their nazi past in india....and many indians don know eitha...that the briitsh did eveything they could to destryoc indian culture, language history and religons.

  • @chickenflu4 If it is does in its origin then the right wing people outcry of communal-ism and India has threat for its secular values. Ours is a country which made singing of vandemataram voluntary.

  • @283satya

Which idiot tried to propagate secular values into our country first? Who bought this concept of secularism in India? Secularism can be misused and so it does not work.

  • Excellent, hope this brings the world closer.

  • will our pseudo secularists watch this.

    Manikandan.

  • Marvellous and a great service to humanity. Thanks. Om

  • very nice and elegant.

  • Recital of Sanskrit shlokas (sacred verses) by children convey the meaning that we live together and perform all deeds without clashes; and the one recited by the dancing group conveys a shloak from EESHAVASYOPNISHAD ( a part of VED) conveys that we should consume anything after distributing it among others and that we do not override the rights of others. The impeccable pronunciation of the verses by English children is amazing and praiseworthy.

  • As for as I know, these children have to be from the Hindu sect of Chinmaya Mission as in the end, they said - Om shri gurubhyo namah hari Om - My salutations to the Guru.

  • Impressive

  • very nice!!!!!!!!!!!Iam proud to be an Indian.India is rich in culture n traditions, its our duty to preserve it well...great kids

  • Hari om,

The Universal message of Peace for all as chanted in Om Shanti , Shant Shanti... is very well chanted by the future of the world. Just hope they understand the meaning of it rather than chant without knowing its deep & inherent message for all....

  • A world that rejoices in each other's culture and celebrates differences is the world our children deserve. May we each find it in us to build this world for our kids.

Blessings to these children for their passion. May it kindle the fire of love in every heart. Pranaams to the school that celebrates cultures, and to the teacher who made this happen. This is beauty. This is love. This is peace. This is what the Lord intended for Man - universal sharing and loving and joy. Aum-Amen-Ameen

  • Excellent performance of Vedic Sanskrit Mantras 'Sajñāna Sūktam' (Incantations of Unity) even by the school children of London. This event verily enhances the glory of Sanskrit, the Immortal Language of the world. Congratulations to all the performers.

  • It does Sound like a spiritual chant.

  • The teacher worked hard to teach the kids ...wished the ending word "shanti" was pronounced correctly, though.

  • samskrita language is so very sweet as it is. now when sung by small school kids with so much of dedication and devotion, it becomes honey-soaked! my salute to the teacher who has trained them so well!

    jayatu samskritam

  • omg that was awesome! the little kids rocked!

  • very very excellent, keep annex vedio like this for our students to boost up in our culture
