I have the same démo, but it lags a lot even on lowest possible détails and res (something-like 4~6 FPS on 640x480). Your gameplay is good.

I bought this for the Xbox but had to take it back!

The video is a prefect example of why i couldn't enjoy it. A Lotus Elise (one of the best handling cars you can buy) sliding its rear end out at 28mph!! I found it to be a little too unrealistic, which is a shame because it had a great feel, but the cars slide out WAY too much. Even my old 1.3 Astra Bunglemobile would handle better than the cars in this game!

and alot of space and still the game wont even start, after i start a race even at the lowest setting it just closes the game.

@PATRIENIX Um, whether it's on or off makes no difference in terms of what qualifies as 'maximum settings'. All it does is eliminate screen tearing by capping your framerate to your monitor's refresh rate. (at the risk of also cutting the framerate by as much as half) So really, if screen tearing doesn't get to you then why have it on?

i didnt like nfs shift, well i only tried their demo for the pc, and well some of their cars dont sound like the real deal, they all sound recored wrong, wrong engine sound, and bad turning timming,i actually like gt5 better than this at times, or at least gtr2

I got this game for ps3.

actually the graphics look nearly like in real life and the career mode is nicely made, the gameplay is fat shit comared to the nfs´before.

it keeps your Vertical frames synchronized with your Horizontal frames, so you don't experience what is called "Tearing" there's a decrease in a performance using this feature, but when you have triple buffer enabled at the same time, it increases performance :-)

I personally cannot play games without turning Vsync on, it's too distracting with the "Screen Tearing" and looks bad as far as I'm concerned.

You can enable damage in the options menu, like most other racing games. Never played with it on m'self, but it's there for people who can avoid walls/other cars.

I'm pretty sure most people learn about the gravity of car crashes in real life. That's why 'developers' make 'games' to provide 'escapist entertainment'. Games such as this even provide 'arcade' settings and 'simulation' settings to sate a wide variety of palettes. :3

Vista has got better since pre SP1 but Windows 7 is more responsive explorer wise, and it's newer than Vista so why not use that it's supposed to be more reliable. Yea it's a trial but I think if you already have Vista you can get it cheaper, you don't have to worry about a full reinstall if the trial runs out as licence keys will be out way before then

I still think that XP is the best for games until W7 SP1. However It is good to have W7 for some games that have sound issues on XP.

lol I'm no W7 fanboy, I'm using XP, I've got W7 on a second HDD just to play about on but I prefer XP because I can use sandboxie and any other programs and drivers without problems, and it's fast it's all I need. W7 is better than Vista, it looks similar so people think it's the same, it uses pretty much the same kernel it's just an improved nippier version of Vista and drivers will be 100% compatable in no time, Vista has more optimized drivers because it's been released and been out for ages

Plus pre RTM builds shouldn't be used as a solid everyday OS, there will more than likely be bugs and other stuff that you don't want, I'd definately rather have a trial RTM than a proper beta. You should def be able to max it but don't know what framerates you'll get, the guy who posted this vid has v gd specs by the looks of it and he doesn't get amazing framerates but still looks really smooth

Dont care how good it might be, it carries the NFS name, should have made a completely different game if it's a completely different game, I know full well it won't be great as EA have only made 1 amazing game- Battlefield 2. Why spend time on this when Forza 3 are GT5 are just round the corner?
