  • hey, in tf2, if you drop a prop in the hole in badwater, it does the same as the payload. what happens if you drop a canister of those in the hole? does it explode?

  • @TheRedAngelz Good idea! Zombie skinned, though, of course. Heavy is Tank. Soldier is Boomer. (maybe swap those 2) Demoknight is Charger (of course). Pyro is Spitter. Scout is Hunter. Sniper is Smoker (long range-ness). Spycrab is Jockey (think about it, it makes sense). Engineer/Medic is Witch? That last one could use some work.... but yeah coolio.

  • @jsparakov You can run it. I ran the original L4D (which has similar specs to the second) with a 1.6Ghz dual core, 2GB RAM and 9500GT. THe 8600 I believe is about the same or better than the 9500. You should be good.

  • @asskillerful It's more complicated than that. It's about choke points... it's like you can't get away with a super powerful CPU and integrated graphics. The Source engine is very forgiving, though, because Valve designs their games with lower-end systems in mind. You can easily play this game smoothly on a $300 machine if you shop around for parts (lots of rebates!). Just remember PCs are used for more than gaming. For system recommendations, I recommend websites like tomshardware for guidance.

  • @NezEnfeiaks There's a little non-solid "block" attached to the bottom portion of the cart head that does "FULLGIB" to anyone from infected team touching it. It is enabled when the cart is moving, if I can recall. It was an attempt to make the common infected look like they're getting run over by the cart when you're on top of it-- looking down at the ground in front of the cart while it's moving. As for being your god... I think Zeus would be better. He's got ripped abs. I need to workout more.

  • made me nauseous, lol the game is fun, but the secret to good video is not to be so nervous and moving so much. think about the ppl watching. its not all about showing off. Take it down a notch, be more steady, slowdown and don't look around so much, makes people queasy when they're not the ones playing. And you can edit for shorter vids, just the highlights will do. good game, you know your way around that map for sure. would be cool to play with you.

    This is both amazingly done and hilarious. I enjoy the, "Get to the inconveniently placed switches!" in part one.

  • I think it'd be really intense if the zombies could damage and destroy the cart so you had to both get the cans and guard the cart. Obviously it'd be practically impossible with all bots, but definitely fun.

  • i kinda wish you could play as the tf2 characters, like the heavy would be perfect for crowd control and so would the pyro and maybe the engie, but the spy and sniper could crush special infected. I don't know that sounds really really hard to do and then have to balance it.

  • I love objective based custom maps. With a little bit of tweaking, I could definitely see this as a fun new game mode, even if it's just for a small segment of the community.

  • i would love to play some versus on this.

    as for the short game-play, that can be answered by adding a random tank spawn while the payload is en rout; getting rid of that tank spawn that seems to be guaranteed at the ramp. then when the payload gets to the final point and drops in, it should trigger the finale(explosion to signal the rescue) starting, where you have to hold out until rescue comes.

    doing this would probably make it a little longer and less seamingly easy.

    another idea would be to make it so that when the cart doesnt have gas to make it go faster, it starts slowly going backwards, that would increase the tension and emphasis on making the cart move. possibly having gas cans replenish respawn if the cart has begun moving too far (that the 32 just wouldn't be enough.) remember, slowly moving back so that its not too much of a hassle.

  • my 2 cents (feedback) : lighting (yea you already know, good luck with that part ;) ) ; adding more elements from L4D (some zombie stuff : body parts, destroyed/burned props/buildings, etc...) ; the ending of the payload mode is excellent (timed bomb, the "choppa"), maybe transforming the TF2 fuel depot into a secret lab/virus container (make the bomb more incendiary, because throwing the virus in the air with the explosion would feel dumb).

    Also, HATS!!! MEDALS!!! (<=pro tip from Valve :D)

  • hmm... very nice, I would think maybe it doesn't have to end with the cart reaching the end...maybe like 'The fire signal has been lit, please wait for rescue." and the players have to hold out for a couple of swarms. And maybe mod the map to a night time setting?
