  • This song is perfect. One of those gems that you would never hear if you didn't look for it.

I only found it because I was curious who he was after hearing he was on Foo Fighters new album. I feel like i've missed out on 18 years of music. So i'm catching up now ;)

  • @MrFoofighter91 better late than never, sir. welcome to bob mould's oeuvre...it's fucking fantastic.

  • @MrFoofighter91 better late than never. hope you enjoy husker du, sugar and bob.

  • @MrFoofighter91 Nice one, man. It's the mark of a true music lover to dig back into your heroes' influences to see who helped to make them who they are. Great bands give birth to great bands...

  • I agree

  • I saw 3 nights in a row while he was touring supporting District Line in Feb 2008 and it wasn't until almost a year later that I really started to get into this album. It's usually like that for me with good music...

  • @wdrauch I didn't think District Line was that good on first listen and now its one of my favourites by him so know what you mean. I would recommend The last Dog and Pony Show if you havn't heard it. Great album. Also Modulate took me ages to get into and love it now. Completely different to anything else he's done. Apologies if you already know all this! You have excellent music taste:0)

  • @RicRob33 Actually the first Bob Mould I ever heard was in a record store my freshman year of college. Workbook had recently come out and I thought it was very much more raw and personal than anything else out at the time. From there I backtracked to HD and wondered how I missed discovering those guys while still in high school. Anyway, through all the different bands and musical styles since then I've appreciated everything Bob has put out, with some taking a little more time...

  • I saw Bob Mould play in a small pub in Angel, London last year and was able to shake his hand and gibber to him thanking him for the last 18 years of music. He probably thinks I'm insane now but a very special moment. The gig was superb!

  • Awesome, I'd love to see him in the UK this year.

  • Do so mate! You have excellent taste in music:0) He was so passionate and played his guitar brilliantly. I was two people back from the stage so he was basically standing right infront of me! Played some Sugar and Husker Du songs too. If your not on his mailing list I'd recommend it as thats where I heard about the gig. All the best.

  • @RicRob33, I had the same experience once. How do you compress all his music has meant into a casual "thank you?" Glad you tried!

  • @100peachtree Ha ha! Exactly mate. Sorry you went through similar, but worth it. Just wish I had asked him a question to answer, though he was leaving so didn't wanna keep him I guess. Hope you get the same opportunity if your experience wasn't already with him and well done for great music taste:0)

  • @RicRob33 Same to me in Milan, in a small club. His music and words have been so important to me, like a soundtrack of my life. Nice person, too. Always wondered why he didn't get the success and fame he deserves. Stupid world.

  • @fzaio So glad you got to meet him too mate! I can relate to his words alot aswell. Very humble and modest man which is a refreshing rarity:0) and I agree he must be the most underated genius of all time! Though glad we are all the lucky ones. Nice one.

  • @RicRob33 I am 100% with you bra!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @RealYellowbeard Anyone who believes that a single argument means "the end" (I know yours is an old post but I had an answer.)

  • bob's back!

  • hope he plays this on next tour

  • great tune. never listened to husker before this.. keep on makin the musack

  • Autotune doesn't suit him.

  • i love this song, its amazing

  • genius

  • Starts a bit like Guided By Voices. Fantastic song, fantastic album. Bob Mould, still a genius.

  • @TennesseeToddy GBV alright!

  • this truly is a return to form for bob. in a single song he managed to capture the best elements of his later years with husker, his solo work and the amazing Sugar all in one. this truly is one of his greatest compositions to date and as always one of his most personal and gripping. welcome back bob and stick around a while longer, there aren't enough songwriters like this left.

  • you hit it on the head man. This is the best of 3 or 30 worlds.

  • I hear the Husker, the "Workbook," all I love about Mould!

  • wow.
