  • SOmeone postd a vid of thee guys? I have another one in my playlist, are they the same, looks like it.

  • Very Good, finally a video has proven to me that there IS merit to these instruments (sitar).

  • また聴きにきてしまった

    2年後くらいにまた来ますw

  • i havnt seen this vid in years and it took me like 3 hours to find it tonight cause i couldnt remember the video name....finally! ugh I would pay money to have the full version of this song.

  • ooh, an ELECTRIC sitar!!!

  • awesome !

  • yes it is :)

sitar had a high spiritual sound

  • that guys playing the same thing over and over, but who cares good song. KICKASS BAND, BITCH!

  • I can't buy a sitar in my country, damn it...

  • Super wonderful :)

  • Brilliant

  • I have a sitar but dont know how to amplify it how do i do this???

  • i dont think you can. a mic. but you can buy a electric sitar that is the same.

  • @PeterBlueprintRev You can either get a professional to install a pickup or you can use a mic. but it would have to a compressor because a dynamic mic wont pick up all the strings

  • They jam!!

  • awsome

  • Excellent... I love the combination of the Drum Kit and the Sitar. :D

  • I always loved the Sitar. Such a beautiful instrument. I'm planning on buying one soon. :D

  • I'm so getting a sitar

  • @Herringish hey but where will u learn it huh?Buying a sitar is not enough and it'll take much more practice den a guitar :D

  • @MrShreyang Hey, when were you planning to learn how to handle english, the easiest language on earth, properly? Just wondering

  • @Herringish I am just a rookie in english I am still learning it and I am not criticizing you I am just reminding you

  • @MrShreyang Oh yeah? Well, I'm just asking you

  • @Herringish English is actually on of the hardest languages, which is why everything here is written in multiple languages (which I'm against; if foreigners wanna live here in the U.S. they should have to learn it. If we were to go to Nepal, do you think everybody would cater to our needs?)

Totally off sitar subject, but anyway...

  • This is so kickass!

  • you are awesome !!!

  • dude! this is so cool! <3

  • hahah wow! i remember watching this video when there was only like 100 views!!!! now like 91k !! hhaha

  • These are Mongolian guys?

  • i wish they had a myspace i love this song so much

  • Maybe it was George Harrison who said you can never master the sitar even if you spend a lifetime studying/practising. I like the sound.

  • great thax for posting this

  • hmmm, interesting sounds! wonder how he got trained? teacher or self taught?

  • Comment removed

"... sitars are the shit" = sitars are wonderful.

  • I hope the next time they play there, you'll have your camera handy, these guys rock!

  • O.O Dang, dude needs a record lable.

lol, it was funny when the camera turned to see all the people watching.

  • dude, if you still live around there you need to shoot a video of them playing norwegian wood.

  • dude, id love to sit at that train station, and get to know those guys.. i bet they hit the cheeba too, that would be cool.

  • When I was there in August the band was going to be playing in Chiba-ken...so yes they do play there.

  • does anybody know the name of song similar as this but a bit slower in which its played a sitar with a modern rythm? I cant say more about it thanks.

  • It would be worth missing the train....just to sit and hear these guys play!

  • does anyone know: Can you take the drone string tuning pegs out and put them in on the bottom side of the neck, will it still work, I mean for a lefty to play upside down, cause im a lefty and you can't find a freakin lefty sitar ANYWHERE!!!

  • The only way i can see you acquiring a lefty sitar would be to go to India and find a maker there!

indeed it would be a beneficial and educational trip to be sure!

  • Jimi Hendrix did just that ... and now left handed guitars are everywhere. :)

  • Left handed Sitars are available online...try googling the word "left handed sitar". Removing the drone pegs would not make it a sitar anymore, it's incomplete without their vibrations. I am a lefty; personally I preferred getting it custom made in India. Good luck!

  • Thank you, I hope that will be beneficial!

  • Man, it sucks being lefty, you can't find a lefty sitar ANYWHERE! but can you take the drone string tuners out and flip them around so they would come out on the opposite side, i mean for a lefty?

  • Man, it sucks being lefty, you can't find a lefty sitar ANYWHERE! but can you take the drone string tuners out and flip them around so they would come out on the opposite side, i mean for a lefty?

  • is this tomo?

  • Take a look to the Anoushka Shankar & Karsh Kale

"PD7"song here on you tube. This is really wondering, and her sitar it's correctly tuned.

  • definetively out of tune...

  • Why is it out of tune? It sounds like Indian tunings are used. Just wondering.

  • i think i haer it

  • NICE!

  • I wonder if these guys are still rockin..

  • i didn't really like it. It sounded like the sympathetic strings were out of tune.

  • Definately one of the cooler things I've seen in a while.

  • amazing, sitar used to form a new type of modern sound, the drums make it that much better. Very well done

  • Great stuff! Ask them to record something! We'll listen to it.

  • I am an indian and I really love this one.

  • So am i i love it toooo

  • please never stop. this is awesome.

  • I love this so freekin much dude! i lvoe Sitars and drums the rhythm with the amazing sounds of sitar is awesome

  • wow is he playing his own song? or is there a name for that, i would totally buy his album

  • I really hope you are not a Travis Barker fan.

  • what do you expect him to do if not what he did?

  • Holy Cow! This is the coolest thing I've ever heard on a sitar! I love how it's kind of modern sounding, rather than the traditional stuff I've mostly heard. It's way cool they're expanding the genera! Yeah!

  • every time i listen to this it just makes me feel happy, the sitar is awesome

  • Super good!

  • those instruments aren't cheap..they can't be poor.

  • what makes you think they're poor?

  • Do you want them to be poor?

    Good job that!

    I'm rather bemused....

  • He didn't say that. He meant they must have some money because they're expensive.

  • You never know, they could have made it themselves. Have you thought of that?

  • I doubt these guys woke up one morning and decided to make DRUMS, and a SITAR.- retard.

  • wow japan is the coolest country in the world (I think this is in japan)

  • Wow, these guys are amazing. never in my life have I heard anything one millionth as good as this at a subway station or a street corner!

You can bet I would not walk by without stopping to watch these guys!!!!!!!

  • tomo thats the best sitar playing ive ever heard. Will definately look you up if im ever in tokyo. ;)

  • Good job! Love of music shows in his playing. Godbless him.

  • the drummer is playing as sensitive as a woodchopper - god send him some groove !

  • hello. I am Tomo, the electric sitar player in this movie. I play on the street in tokyo. i play with tabla, with drums, with dance music... i have many styles. i hope you liseten to my music on the street.

  • if i lived in tokyo i would sit there and listen to you play all day if i could...i'm a big fan of the sitar.

  • your band is cool, and it rocks! we are doing something kinda similar here in America, AFC.

  • ok that sitar is a 50 $ miniature and the drums are chineese and its a half set

  • ok this makes no sense. besides the fact that these guys are rly good, they shouldnt be asking for money with the equiptment they have. sitars cost almost $600 and that drumset looks brand new.

  • Music isn't the equipment you have, dumbass...

  • And after they've sold it what comes next ? They wouldn't be able to play nor get anything to do, and they wouldn't be able to play for some money. I've seen homeless guys with 2000$ custom made guitars ask for money - anything can happen to anyone, don't forget that. You shouldn't judge people.

  • goober, their not asking people for change their playing the sitar and drums to have fun and if people wanna give some tips then that's their choice, your too ignorant to see the true beauty of this video, I've seen people in portland play guitar and didnt ask for money they played it because that was their passion.

  • We are outcast warriors who have escaped the ruler king Bethos from the planet kearganan9. now we come to earth to make retarded productions

  • man thats really funneh!...

  • Well I'm glad you think so! We've been looking for these lotus-eating reprobates for sometime now. Just running that station thro the onboard facilitator... Blast, I hate Windows! If anyone has any info on their whereabouts they will be handsomely rewarded.... Out.

  • it sounds more like within you Without You with the beat

  • Japaneses hipsters i can dig it

  • Wonder what city this is. I'm in Miyazaki.

I have access to a sitar, but I don't want to put in the time to learn it. This sounds really good though.

    LOL at the NOVA sign.

  • oh man

i really wanna get a sitar

and you just have on laying around?

    i find that wasteful man

    no offence

  • sitars in the modern/60s era are plain fucking amazing

trippy as hell, and sounds amazing in a duet with drums/bass
