Slash actually wrote the song, minus lyrics. It was written back when Steven Adler was in the band, but the song was as slash said " too funky" for GnR and Lenny used it when Slash went out to New York to guest on his album he was working on at the time

I do like Lenny singing it a lot better than Myles Kennedy, but also at the same time the only reason this song was never on a GNR record is because Steve Adler couldn't play the drum part of it to get it on an album. Slash wrote one of the catchiest songs in rock music he is an amazing musician. I can hear the first two chords from this song and hum the entire thing the rest of the way through.

@Honeythebeebee Slash wrote this song... it wasn't written by Lenny Kravitz, He collaborated on it later when Slash said that then drummer Steve Adler said the song was too hard to play. So Slash then teamed up with Kravitz on it. Yes Kravitz helped finish the song to what we know it as today, but Slash wrote the song to be a GNR track but it never happened.
