  • An absolute delight! Thank you.

  • can anyone help me with the lyrics? I cannot find it on the internet, and I would really appreciate it. Great inspiring song.

  • One &Only Ernesto, King of the Rumba & Latin music

RIP friend your music will live for ever in are hearts.

  • gracias...a wonderful rhythm by a wonderful band...enjoyed the magazine covers as well. thank you.

  • fantasticthank you

  • Nice, thank you for sharing Kostas.

  • @kostgian

    Fortissimi!!!

  • Esta cancion de Lecuona, la bailaron y la siguen bailando y cantando en Panama, desde que la grabo, es un bello recuerdo de los tiempos en que las bandas visitaban Panama y Cuba era libre. Gracias por poner la grabacion original

  • One of my all-time favorite bands, not just Cuban. They were the essence of Cuban music and the toast of New York and Paris

  • Indeed. I was lucky to meet Armando Orefiche, very talented artist.

  • Definitely cheek to cheek stuff in the nightclubs of 30s/40s Cuba.

  • vaya caña

  • There was a time, as we can see here, when magazines were triumphs of artistic ability and talent. And then, photographs replaced commercial art and magazine covers lost their amazing versatility and showmanship. And not just in Cuba, but everywhere in the world. Alas.

  • It's you again, 240 252, beloved of Tamara de Lempicka and of me!! I haven't even started commenting on your extraordinary contributions. You are as good as myself but you have the know-how which I don't. "Panamá" is one of the loveliest songs ever!! Since you are so fantastic at finding these pearls of the musical treasure, maybe you could find and post "One Kiss Away from Heaven" sung by Tony Perkins to the sublime Alida Valli in "This Angry Age" ("The Sea Wall" 1958)? A true treat!!

  • Was this recorded when Butcher Machado was running Cuba. Also, I can hear a little Desi Arnaz sound in this piece.

  • This was recorded before the despotic /tyrant / dictatorial Castro brothers AKA "dinosaurios" took over.

  • @insolence75 Recently Castro said that "Communism does not work even for Cuba" but he does not want to give up control it seems.

  • Man, this is the COOLEST! Great song. Thanks for posting.

  • plenty of CD's of the Lecuona boys available on Amazon, thank god!

Uniquely beautiful sound, total finesse, the most wonderful 'pop' music ever surely

  • F a n t a s t i c !!!

  • F a n t a s t i c !!!!!

  • 240252 thousand thanks. This song and the group is fantastic, for me. I think that people who don't like this music must be tired of life. So sorry for them.

  • 240252: 1000 x merci from Paris for such fantastic music. This PANAMA is (for the moment) my favourite among all those by Lecuona Cuban Boys, a group I didn't know until today. So many many thanks. I'll send this videao to all my friends.

  • They were great!

  • Oh, that blood warming Latin rhythm! I can see them dancing the conga and the mambo on an open dance floor with palm trees all around (Castro or no Castro)

  • Great toe-tapper and images. Castro won't be around too much longer...Then again, he might run for President of the USA. Why not?

  • I think I must open a "La Princesa" in Cuba!
