anyone remember the guy holding the sign that caused the loudest ovation of the night? it read "HEY WAYNE, HELP BRING BACK OUR JETS" . well....that was me lol what a rush. i recorded it off the channel 5 news...have to upload it here someday. GO LEAFS....and ya...if the coyotes come back home....go jets? go coyotes? bettman sucks big dinks.
But seriously you should should have been at the place when the IIHF was here we went crazy for team Canada. Sold out and everyone was doing the wave.
I was there in the top bowl what a nice view of the sold out arena, I WANT AN NHL TEAM WE DESERVE IT. It's not 1995 anymore people. Thing have changed. It was so loud in there.
OK, the NHL totally needs to move back to Winnipeg. Why are they continuing to chase 'crowds' of 8000 (at discounted prices) in Phoenix, Atlanta, Nashville, etc...
Well then you're simply wrong. And I'll back it up; check out espn online. Phoenix's 2008 average attendance: 14820. 29th out of 30 teams. With some of the lowest ticket prices in the league. A hockey market so pathetic they offer TWO FOR ONE season tickets! Fourth worst draw on the road. A drain on the league and a disgrace to sport. The sooner they either fold or relocate, the better for all concerned.
It's too funny: the Coyotes have lost an average of $30 million per year over the last four years, have never pulled in a break-even year, yet they were chased out of Winnipeg because of losses averaging $7 million over 4 years (give or take). And that was when Winnipeg had the old barn for an arena. Oy!
oh wait im sorry, im pretty sure if the coyotes dont find an owner its the rebirth of the jets? your obviously butthurt about the possibility of it. whether you like it or not, ask anyone. winnipeg deserves the nhl, im pretty sure when time came to try and save the jets. 35000 people showed up to try and save them. a similiar event was held for the coyotesa couple weeks ago, you know how much attended?30 people.
Can't wait to see more of this next season!!!

And, during the last season, Winnipeg only avearage over 11,000 people. Argh, this hypocrasy is ruining the game.

Bottom line: You don't deserve your team.

Hey, did you see that segment prior to last night's Game 4 of the Stanley Cup finals on HNIC?
They showed the average per game, gate revenue for the top 7 and bottom 7 teams in the NHL.
Guess who was dead last with an 18% decline from last year? Why, the wily Coyotes!!
