Reason as to why you are advised to wear your seatbelt. Even if they make the cars crumple less and take less severe head on impact damage people still run the risk of been ejected from the car via the front windshield if they don't wear their seatbelts which can usually be fatal!..Although my mum is a good driver she rarely ever wears her seatbelt which is quite saddening!

Eh, at some point the degree to which we have to protect our lives will outweigh the joys of living them. Wearing your seatbelt is smart but annoying. Your mum may be very much aware of the fact that seatbelts save lives, and may drive all the more safely because she isn't wearing it. I think people get too comfortable in cars thinking that they are so safe now that you are unlikely to die in a crash. Maybe it is better for drivers to be more on the ball and actually have something to fear.

All the safety features that were invented over time have safed many many lives, the seatbelt probably the most. What does his mom do, when somebody crashes into her with high speed? Easily avoid the crash, because she is cautiously driving? You can't be that naiv! Everybody should wear his seatbelt!!!!

Looks like the car has a SPRING system - it pushes off the wall, you can see it in the "slow motion" view - that is more dangerous then the flying windshield. It distributes the force back on the driver as it pushes off the wall - terrible in either way, wow pretty disappointing for AUDI.

It's a prototype test, this wasn't the actual production model, hence the lack of fenders, airbags, and a proper windscreen. Impressive performance though.
