I learned what the / sign and the world 'slash' (in this context) meant long before I was involved in the community. I was in middle school. why didn't you just do the video as involving the relationship between aragorn & the elf chick? that would have been so cool. Considering that most of my videos on this site have similar content and the same warning as this one and this is the first complaint that I have gotten I don't feel that my warning is lacking. Seeing that there is no mention of Arwen in either the title or description, you had no reason to believe it included her. You did not have to watch the entire video, as I feel it is fairly obvious by the first chorus of the song what the theme is. You could have turned it off then.
I think I can say with confidence this song has the most slash pairings ever on youtube 0_o and I have no idea why. Other then it being a great tune of course ^_^ really nice vid, so sweet, and fitted very well *cuddles this pairing, favourites and gives a 5*

Um, that's point. The Lord of the Rings has a very large fan community who specifically like homosexual pairing between the characters. Aragorn and Legolas happen to have the largest fanbase, as the two of them interact a lot through the book and movie, thus making them easy to "slash" as it's called. So yes, its gay.

what the video is about, had you been a bit more discerning, you would have figured out that i was trying to prove a point. i was trying to show that although goldenarcher has a warning about the content of the video, the warning is not explicit enough. i didn't become "mentally scarred," of course, but there are ppl who would, in which case goldenarcher's warning is proven ineffective. so chill-out dude. & next time read the whole discourse, for in my last message to GA i sorted things out.

I learned what the / sign and the world 'slash' (in this context) meant long before I was involved in the community. I was in middle school. I do consider this a universal symbol, at least amidst people who venture into the realm of the fan-creation online. There will always be stuff like this on the internet; some with no warning, and most of it is far worse than anything I have ever made. No one is likely to be scarred by anything as soft-core as I make.

why didn't you just do the video as involving the relationship between aragorn & the elf chick? that would have been so cool. Damn.Oh & next time make the title & the info more explicit. we can't all know about all the sub-cultures in youtube. i mean, when i first approached this vid. i tho't it was about both a cool movie & a cool song. i have nothing against homosexuals, but i like the movie as it was originally conceived. bottom line: explicitly say that the video has homosexual connotations.

It does explicitly say in the comments "Slash content". There is a warning, and the title has one as well, as the pairing is clearly stated. It was you who failed to pick up on these, as I find it hard to believe you are on the internet and haven't heard the term 'slash'.

if i would have known what 'slash content' means, i wouldn't be complaining to you. but i don't even know why my comment prokes a contentious reaction on your behalf. dude, just put "this video has homosexual connotations" on the info section, so that straight guys like myself won't find themselves feeling awkward after having watched the vid. and realizing that it's not what they expected it to be.

Considering that most of my videos on this site have similar content and the same warning as this one and this is the first complaint that I have gotten I don't feel that my warning is lacking. Seeing that there is no mention of Arwen in either the title or description, you had no reason to believe it included her. You did not have to watch the entire video, as I feel it is fairly obvious by the first chorus of the song what the theme is. You could have turned it off then.

I think I can say with confidence this song has the most slash pairings ever on youtube 0_o and I have no idea why. Other then it being a great tune of course ^_^ really nice vid, so sweet, and fitted very well *cuddles this pairing, favourites and gives a 5*

Um, that's point. The Lord of the Rings has a very large fan community who specifically like homosexual pairing between the characters. Aragorn and Legolas happen to have the largest fanbase, as the two of them interact a lot through the book and movie, thus making them easy to "slash" as it's called. So yes, its gay.
