  • I also interested about that machine

  • @aggronax Please visit manufacturer site - CID Produtos Ltda - from Brazil.

  • Why are you wasting the coconuts? Why not donate it to the poor who can make something out of it then just compose.

  • These are not "fresh" coconuts. These are green coconuts which had coconut water which was drained for tropical consumers of "coconut water" and the resulting empty husks thrown away. They were already waste and occupying a lot of space in the landfill as well as posing health risks and breeding grounds for disease carrying insects. This shredder "recycles" the old husks so that they can be used for things such as those mentioned by intrepidlikes above.

  • I never realized coconuts where considered garbage

  • Coconuts are not garbage, the empty husks however (which look the same from a distance) are thrown in the garbage. These husks can be reused to form ground cover, insulation or fillers for seat cushions, etc.

  • dont waste the coconuts!

    (coconut waster)

  • This is a form of reusing the coconuts so that they do not become merely waste.

The waste is generated by those who enjoy a cool coconut drink on the beach. It takes up to 3 coconuts to fill a small 12 oz (300ml) cup with coconut water. They are also used by hotels for Piña Coladas and other tropical drinks, but the tourists never see the mountains of empty coconut husks left over.

  • chuck a head inside of it!

  • The by products are coco fiber and coco dust or peat. The fiber is usually used in the production of geotextiles like nets, ropes, yarns, soundproofing, heat insulation, brushes, bristles, carpets, among others. THe dust/peat for hoticultural and agricultural applications. The fibre nets are laced over ground to prevent soil erosion. China is a big importer of these nets.

  • Coconut husks occupy a lot of space in landfills in tropical regions. These coconut husks are a health risk since they become breeding grounds for mosquitos. Coconut fiber and coconut coir can be used as a substrate, essentially replacing peat moss which is quickly disappearing.

  • so what's the point of this machine? doe's shredded coconut have a use?

  • yes, we will use it for bedding in a cow ranch, that way the cows would step on it and mixed it with their manure, thereby speeding its composting, and we'll have fertilizer for our farm

  • lmao looks like a baby puking

  • cool shit !

  • sad basterds
