  • IT WAS GOOD IN THE BEGINNING UNTIL I TOOK AN ARROW TO THE KNEE

  • Slipknot = shit

  • WTF IS THIS??

  • WHERE THE FUCKING FUCK IS SLIPKNOT!?!?!

  • @wontSTOProcking4LIFE In their houses, watching youtube.

  • @wontSTOProcking4LIFE In their houses watching youtube.

  • I have seen this one many times - I sooo love the ending !! Great combat flip turns moves !!

  • Thumbs up if u though this was gonna be star wars clips with slipknot music in it!

  • Impressive. Looks just like a scene from a Star Wars film.

  • will smith says he fears fear. i love it

  • >2011

    >Listening to Slipknot

    >Seriously hope you guys don't do this

  • The best, well-made "Star Wars" fan film out there...been enjoying this for ten years now.

  • Very cool video...

    Nice editing

  • Hive me slipknot T_T

  • One of the better made SW fan films.

  • Bad Luck :D:D

  • I thought this was slipknot duality I watched the entire thing but the song never came. :(

  • SLIPKNOT!!!! WHERE IS IT!!!

  • Well. That was stupid.

  • if this came out in the 70s with the first films people would be blown away, as it is its still really good

  • I look and say. Good for fan made. But, some points I was like meeeh.

  • This is just as impressive each time I watch it

  • Never turn your back!

His mistake was not following through to chudan after yoko giri, exposing his rear. not very realistic for a sith apprentice taking his final test. Lord Rive only had to execute a simple tsuki as a final FU…lol

  • FYI: The Dark Lord in this fanfilm isn't Palpatine, it's an original character named Darth Oz.

  • this is my old karate teacher in this.

  • ohh.. no slipknot? :( BUT STAR WARS IS STILL GOOD :))

  • Awesome this fanfilm!

  • THUMBS UP IF YOU WERE WAITING FOR SLIPKNOT

  • Wow fail I love starwars but I thought thils was Slipknot wow fail nice vid though

  • wtffff

  • i mean i love star wars, but i was hoping there would also be some slipknot!

  • STAR WARS=S#!T where is SlipKnoT ?????

  • Oh man I wanted to watch slipknot!

  • Very good fan film! And yeah, i remember this too, before youtube.

But yellow is a Jedi saber-colour. Sith colours are: red, orange, silver.

  • @Pluskat88 Since he wasn't a Sith yet, he could have just found those crystals to use before he made his own synthesized crystals.

  • that wasnt awsome or anything

  • wow for a fan-film this is pretty epic

  • that wind sound is so wrong!

  • The fight scene in Ryan Vs. Dorkman is still better.

  • I always thought it was funny how they block and deflect objects but always get kicked in the face somehow.

  • What the hell is up with the video description? It's not Palpatine, and we have no idea how long before episode I this takes place. It says Darth Oz right there in the credits, for crying out loud.

  • Wow, I mean, it's from 2001 or so... these effects are great if you count that in.

If they were to make a new movie with today's technology it'd be awesome!

  • a little too much spinning of the lightsabers going on in the choreography but otherwise this is pretty good

  • I think it came out in 2004.

  • @shellatella earlier than that, I remember watching this in 2001

  • @shellatella -_- the credits clearly say 2001, also. It doesn't say anything about being events happening before The Phantom Menace, that's not Palpatine. It says Darth Oz, open your eyes. Anyway, thanks for uploading it though. It's a pretty remarkable SW Fan Film.

  • @shellatella 2001

  • @shellatella No, it was 2001

  • what year was this out ?? i remeber it now,wow i saw this a loooong time ago indeed and yes it wasnt on youtube but as a Yahoo search !!

  • Lol maybe if I spin my saber really fast he won't think I'm a douche!

  • Still the best fan film I've ever seen... Great job!

  • I remember grabbing this and other cool fan films from theforce.net and storing them on Zip disks. Excellent film.

  • Mark Thomas is a big nosed douchebag

  • What's up with the Emperor's laugh? xD

  • Did he just say "YouTube" in 0:55 ??? BWAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!

  • Was trying to remember the name of this for ages. Finally found it. It's still as awesome as when I first saw it. This is in fact better than the Ep. I-III combined.

  • haha id be laughing my ass off not shocking them

  • does planet tatoni or however u spell it.. have u youtube??

  • That was.... wow, REALLY high quality for a fan film.

  • "An error has occurred, please try again" God damn it this is my fith time trying!

  • gay as hell i so thought this was gonna be the song by slipknot with some alien ppl vid i have no prob with star wars im just sadly dissapointed

  • its not palpatine, its darth oz where the fuck did you get palpy from?

  • dude the one guys fn wearin a paintball mask!! hah all in all good video

  • This is the Way of the Dark Side! All things end in Death!

  • I remember watching this back in '01 and thinking it was something that was actually produced by Lucasfilm. Now I see the CGI isn't THAT superbly polished but still looks pretty damn good even by today's standards. I wonder if the filmmakers went on to better things?

  • WHERE THE FUCK IS SLIPKNIOT?!

  • @aidanb45 THAT'S WHAT I THOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 5:59-6:06 lolololololololololololol

  • Not so dusty!

  • *animating a space ship?

  • tutorial for the animating a space ship

  • Oh snap. Time to find a new apprentice...

  • WHERE IS SLIPKNOT :O :O !!

  • @mr91skult

Wow I actually found this by searching for this song

  • @fablefollower I found it searching only for "duality", I wondered what would I find exept Slipknot

  • The prequels would have been better if these guys made them

  • i clicked this vieo thinking the song duality would play

  • @finaldestination91 ME too .. WTF is that???

  • Amazing video! Besides the blood from the guy dieing and the dead bodies moving when Palpatine shocks them

  • OMG i saw this when i was a little kid, i found it on the internet months and months before phantom menace came out, regardless of the flaws i still freaking love this video!

  • And i dont think at the very end.. a lightsaber cutting someones body in half would leave a wound that would bleed. My impression has always been, it cauterizes.

  • @alexcemshaw

George Lucas made it so lightsabers cauterized after he released the first star wars movie which is now called A New Hope. During the Cantina scene in that movie two thugs harrass Luke which makes Ben have to use his lightsaber to cut off one of their arms. In that scene and that one alone the lightsaber made someone bleed.

George Lucas probably never did it again for his own reasons or parent complaints.

  • isn't the yellow light saber suppose to cut any other lightsaber? 0_o

  • From what I've heard, yellow light sabers can only cut other light sabers if they have the right focusing crystal. Color shouldn't have any affect. I could be wrong though.

  • Yeah thats what i heard too. I just thought color and focusing crystal were strictly related. Eh, who knows, it ain't official anyways.

  • @MrPablowjob

No. Yellow lightsaber crystals were just rare during the time zone in the Galaxy the movies took place in.

4000 years ago though during the time of Darth Revan yellow sabers were as common as blue and green sabers.

  • i like how they both were fairly skilled and evenly matched so it wasnt a minute long fight. like in some of the movies.

  • Animation: good just got to fix how it looks when they are fightning, they look 3d in a 2d world,

    acting: ify

fighting: alright just need to do less swirls in attack,

  • they like to swirl the lightsabers alot -_-

  • Did the film's producers say this guy was supposed to be Palpatine? My impression is that he's just another Sith lord trying to complete the hatching of a crazy sceme.

  • one of the best

  • i thought this was slipknot

  • @culverandhardy626 lol so did i

  • A most excellent fan video. Why if it were any better Lucas would ban it.

  • nice ; )

  • I think youll find that lightsaber wounds neither cauterise OR bleed... Because they don't exist.

Very nice graphics tho. I'm studying graphic design. Very impressed

  • Silly boy, it's a fantasy. The lightsabres are fantasy. Of course they neighter cautaurise, mame or dismember.. Now how are you going to get ahead in your field without taking this in account?

  • Kind of rude to think hes not dealing with reality because he asks one question.

But hey, you know what they say about comments on youtube.

    Cheers!

  • nice paintball mask haha. cool video though, takes a loooong time to rotoscope all that shit.

not a jeer or anything, but don't lightsaber wounds cauterize and thus not bleed? just wonderin

  • In the original star wars film, (A New Hope), light saber wounds did in fact bleed.

  • This is one of the best! Classic! The fx are amazing for amatures (or are they?) and I like some of the humor in it.

  • Wow!!!! Awesome animation. im recomending this to all my friends. awesome!!!!!

  • This must be before he found Darth Maul. Someone should do movie about Darth Plaguis.

  • There is no way in hell Palpatine's teeth are that straight

  • goood one man

  • Um maybe Duality is the name of the movie not Slipknot's song :D

  • actuly the guy in robes is called Darth OZ in the credits.

    not palpatine.

  • this was later parodied as "two-ness"

  • wtf is slipknot? still awsome but.. no slipknot... 5/5

  • the best fanfilm ever!

  • it was well done but there is no slipknot :(

  • lmao Nice video I ended up watching it waiting in suspense for slipknot to jump out of somewhere xD

  • What he said lol

  • Omg Wheres The Slipknot? :DD

  • No.... Slipknot......? Ohh well STAR WARS STILL RULES!!! AWESOME VIDEO!!!!

  • Damn it, I clicked this thinking it was Slipknot's duality.

  • heheh same prob here.... but then i thought hmm i like star wars to so i kept watching.. but its not even really from the movie... :(

but i have to say good job on making this movie..

  • LMFAO!!! SAME HERE AHHHH HA HA HA HAA!!

  • 5 stars my friend five stars!!!your awesome!!!very nice work!!! XD

  • lol twice dead lololol

  • Hoo yeah. I remember this from before YouTube existed. Glad to see it's still around.

  • kool

  • nice job!

  • wats this from

  • its a fan film, not really from anything

  • COOOOL!!! *****

Watch our fan films "Star Wars - Force of Habit" and "Star Wars - A Space Odyssey" here on Youtube....

  • Oh man, I remember watching this years ago. This is one of the few Star Wars fan-films out there that is actually good.

I guess I'll weigh in on the blood factor. Though it's true lightsabers would instantly cauterize any blood vessels it came into contact with, it's possible this wasn't a "clean" cut. If the blade didn't cut all the way through and the rest of the connecting tissue came apart on its own, it would be plausable to have a fair amount of bleeding.

  • I dont like the master, but atmosphere is excellent!

  • lol both die

  • double KO!

  • omg..both are down O.o!

  • OOO my god first i thought its a new sw vid

    great job dud

  • One of the best SW fan films there is, I remember this one from years ago and its still amazing.

  • Better than all 3 prequel movies combined, really.

  • i love it how the guy remembers to turn off his lightsaber before he dies lol

  • viva el coño ke pario a los ke icieran eso

    see metal gear paramo

  • if only there were more fights like this in the preqeuls, also the guy who got cut in half wouldent bleed cuz a lightsaber is so hot, it quarterizes the wound instantly

  • You clearly misunderstand more about cauterization than merely the spelling of the word. Just because some of the veins, arteries, and blood vessels are cauterized does not mean the entire internal guts and other structures lack blood and other fluids that would leak out from the gaping hole.

It doesn't work like those plastic bags your mom uses to seal in the freshness of last night's meal -- LOL! Think about it.

But you're right: the did need more fights like this in the prequels.

  • somebody made a mock version of this called "twoness". FUNNY!

  • hmm...very nice idea.i like the effects.the end is kinda funny :D.

    props from germany :)

  • too much spinning of the lightsaber... strike spin 5 times, strick spin 5 times, and it goes on

  • the force is strong with this one. 5 stars

  • one of the guys is wearing a paintball mask

  • WOW. Amazing

  • kinda ironic how they killed each other

  • I was waiting for the song too, but cool. Didnt understand the yellow lightsabres or the lighting sith deal at the end, but again mad props. thats was fuckin good.

  • so wheres the song?

  • the slipknot song? it isnt in this video... the title of the fan film was "duality"... but had no reference to the song

  • I know the guys that did the film, it was really cool, They are karate instructors here in goleta CA, Ones name is Dave macomber, I studied karate under him for a while, worked next door to his place for a while, its really awesome because they really do that stuff

  • awesome job!

  • at the end when one of the sith is cut in half, he starts to bleed... if you were to be cut by a light saber the wound would automatically be healed due the intesity of the heat generated by the light saber right?

the only other time ive seen a bloody wound from a light saber was in episode 4 when old ben cut that guys arm off in the cantina

  • what is it exactly? is it CG or the actors r true? is it official?

  • Its a fan-made film where everything is CGI except for the actors.

  • My favorite Star Wars fan film.

For those saying that the character is the Emperor, its not. His name Darth Oz. Look in the credits.

  • This is still the best Starwars fan film i've ever seen and i havent really seen any others that can match this. Star Wars Revelations didnt even come close.

  • the force is strong with this video

  • Very tight. Good use of visuals over dialog, more 'cinema' less yap-yap-yap.

Music kicks ass, so does the VFX & saber work. Teriffic editing and direction. It's onlyh problem is acting. Always hire pros.

Hands down, best Star Wars fan film EVER!

  • Holy schiet, very well done...

  • I been looking for this video for years. FINALY !

  • Oh man! I remember this one from years ago. Probably my favorite fan film of all time. I've been wanting to see this again for awhile now. Glad it's on youtube. Great job to all parties involved in making it, by the way. I know it's been awhile.

  • lol would have been better if you put a song in there with the cut scene but seriously that was awesome! nice effects and stuff that really must have pissed of the emperor them both dying lol! nice end =)

  • this shits nto bad at all you guys are good

  • AWESOME

  • tight video

  • i saw this about two years ago, and haven't seeen it since. but i signed on to tfn's forums, and someone mentioned it to me. i remebered it and looked for it.

  • u should of had palpatine teabag them instead of shocking them

  • because they are not as wise as the older jedies

  • y does every little twerp use dual lightsabers?

  • um dual is probably way harder to use.

    SITH OWN!!!!!

  • but if one knows how to use the form properly, they can win relatively easily. with a few exceptions, of course *cough* G. Grievous! *cough*

  • i was friends with a kid who was best buds with the guy who made this....he said they had to find some pros to do the fighting, and the kid had, i think it was....$250,000 in computer equipment (mind you this was several years ago)

  • Best Star Wars fan film......EVER!!!!

  • extreme good movie, but the emperor didnt have a voice, that was even close to the original.

    but good movie anyways

  • I hate that fucking dude that shock those two, If i saw him on the streets I would have punched him so hard that his mother could feel it! (great video anyway)

  • ahh...im making on ef dem fan films too...the final uprising...the biggest sw fan film yet...close to one hour :)

  • George should have hired these guys!!!! Maybe they could have gotten Annikin and Obi-Wan to fight like that and maybe even directed Darth to cry out "NOOOO" with much more feeling and angst! I first saw this about 5 years ago on IFilms. Super awsome work that should put Lucasfilm to shame!!

  • omg that was really awesome!!!!!!!! best film ive seen so far, and the emporer has issuses, zapping them when they're dead lol how stupid.

  • Awesome! Great film!
