What is that smoke coming out of the ground? Or is that the steam coming out of the vents from other houses?

Those are chimneys :) This was taken in February, so it was rather cold by then.

Lol, that is what I thought! Your house must be on a hill to see only the tops of the other houses.

You're right about that. :) I live in a village that only has about 7000 inhabitants, but there is about 400 meters height difference from the highest to the lowest point, I think.
