  • I have this on my android..but should i also get it for my wii??

  • you speak very bombastically.

  • 1500 wii points is freaking expensive for a wiiware game but trust me it's worth it this game is sooooo amazing

  • Hey Derek, did you know that this game was only developed by 2 people.

  • @superjta59 He said that literally like 5 or 6 times.

  • @TheBlacKoopa Oh, it was just early in the review that I couldn't hear. I don't know why I posted that in the first place.

  • That advertisement was hilarious.

  • is this like a game on a disc?

  • @hyperkiller3

It's from WiiWare from Wii shop channel

  • @hyperkiller3 wiiware is like the xboxlive on the wii so no. You could download it on the pc if you dont have a wii though

  • 3:26 hihi... balls of goo....

  • Is this game actually worth 1500 points on the Wii? I'm just curious...

  • @sonicmario64 it is

  • I Can Cut To Any Level I Choose In World Of Goo!

  • Yea but is it worth $15 for it on the Wii?

  • why isnt this on android ???

  • i am getting an ipad 2 and this for sure

  • nothing that is not metroid is as good as metroid. regardless, world of goo has a style so simple yet so captivating, it can make a grown man cry of joy when he figures out how some of the later levels need to be solved. i'm glad i didn't have to watch myself as i played this, for i must 've been smiling and staring in total awe at my telly...

  • IMO, I'd rather buy the PC/Mac version. It seems like it'd be a bit difficult to control without a mouse. :P idk, still great either way.

  • @mickeymouse12678

it actually controls quite well, i have the demo on my wii, if theres any control closer to the ol mouse and keyboard, it IS the wii afterall

  • Am I the only one that knows that if Mark and Derek did a joint review then it would be one of the best reviews ever?

  • The reviewer is an idiot.

  • @Addicted2gaming *slaps him in the face* HA

  • An awesome review of an awesome game!

  • Innovative? I don't think people know what innovative means anymore. This game is original, sure, but it didn't innovate anyone.

  • @PinkTheFloydable exactly its nearly a clone of lemmings

  • @cam5478 Yeah. It's not like it changed the way games were made or anything. Same with Half-Life 2. Space Invaders, now that's an innovative game!

  • Should I get this for the PC for $9.00? I'm not usually into games like this, but people say it's great. BTW There's a "World of Goo" level on Little Big Planet.

  • @MechWarrior324 YES!!! I got the demo for my mac and it was awesome.

  • @MechWarrior324 I think you should. I got it for Christmas and wondered what in the world is this??? My parents said it was supposed to be good and I played it and loved it. Thats a great price, too.

  • Great review, Fun game, but can someone please bring Fantastic Contraption to the wii. Love that game to pieces.

  • I'm really not sure why anyone would buy the Wii version... downgraded visuals and less precise controls? Great!

Also I think that World of Goo is both overpriced and overrated. It's a good game with nice production values, but there are dozens of Flash games with similar concepts that tend to be lower in quality only in terms of said production values. I paid $5 for it and considered it a fair price, but would never, ever pay $20 for it, which is the regular asking price.

  • I have this Game on the Wii and the PC and it is one of the best puzzle games I've ever played. It is IGN's Wii Game of 2008 beating Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Personally I think it is the Wii game of 2008 as well.

  • Stop saying wii, this is a pc game first. And I believe it plays better with the mouse.

  • @telecomboring but hes reviewing the Wii version...we understand its on the PC first

  • i played the demo for PC and WII i liked the PC version more

  • how many wii points?

  • Beside Wii, Windows and OS X, it's also avalibale on Linux.

  • That's flippin sweet man!

  • Awsome game!

  • I bought this game for linux.

  • You absolutely sold me. I'm getting this game.

  • World Of Goo is proof that you don't need lots of money or even a studio to make an outstanding video game masterpiece! All you need is a big idea and a way to successfully execute it! Now that's something these big name developers should really focus on, rather than just trying to make a quick buck now and then.

  • This is my first CGEUndertow review and I must say you did a great job. Although I haven't had the change to play this yet.

I liked you review style and the way you made you points. I will be watching more and since I already subscribed I saved myself a mouse click. Yay!

  • Nice review. I have always sort of wanted to try this out. Maybe I will give it a shot soon.

  • man i do not liek this game

  • Now there's millions of these things in the Gulf :-(

  • I really don't like this game at all. I don't know why, but it is just not fun to play for me.

  • I hope they port this to Vectrex.

  • @MrCanihazcookie that was called tower of goo, and it was the beta for this.

  • Best pussle game! My record is under 2 hours.. 1h 40 min or something..

  • For the record, it's also available as linux packages and binaries.

  • lol I remember anticipating this game. Bought it, beat it, loved it.

  • if u havent already check out gamingmills review of this game

  • great review !!! man!

  • cool

  • The PC one feels better.

  • i like it for both PC AND Wii, and i beat it on both platforms.

  • One of my all time favourite game, love the art style, love the music (especially on the MOM's computer levels)

It's just awesome, the story behind it is great too :)

  • Such an awsome game!

  • Awesome game. Great music too.

  • hah goo made it to Wii :D

  • @bcbluecheese

a long time ago, even released a demo

  • I like the review, however I didn't like that you showed how to do the OCD's or at least gave away tips, that takes away a part of the fun.

Also, there is a version for Linux (with multitouch support for handling two goos at the same time) and iphone.

  • hahah this game is just like the monkey game on sony ericsson handys:D:D:D

  • Wow, you got OCD on that level where you have to curve around those gears.

  • another great review man!

i feel like buying it now :)

  • One of the most unique games I have ever played, and its brilliant!

  • theirs a DL game on the PSN that scored a 9.4 on IGN which was made by like 2 people xD. This game and the one on ps3 show that a million pounds/dollars. Can not buy you a good concept, which is what Derek himself said. Good show! :D

  • Tiki towers for iPhone/pod/pad anyone??? Granted this game has more features but essentially it's the same game instead of goo it's monkeys.

  • @WeShallC might want to check out which one was made first....

  • This is one of the best games i have every played on my Mac.

  • @drradon *one of the only game

  • @CGRDerek quit talking in mumbo jumbo jiberyjoo and simplify things a bit

  • Great game.

  • I love this game-and the ending...hope there will be a sequel!

  • @kartupelis96 I am talking about the controller Nintendo WII controller is less better than good old mouse.

  • played it on the PC , gr8 game

  • the "not as good as metroid" was kinda pointless to say and mean why bother saying so no one cares about biased statements and plus this guy does tend to exagurate a game... just a bit

  • @Millertheman World of Goo is a great game!

  • I beat this on the PC. Some of the puzzles were very frustrating.

  • I played a game with the exact same mechanics on the Internet years ago. I'm sorry, but this game is little better than a console-based flash game, which is reflected by its origins. No doubt it's enjoyable and the Wii is able to extend the possibilities for challenging physics manipulation. I think the best part of this game is that it demonstrates how possible it is for homebrew developers all over the world to build compelling games without the backing of huge development studios behind them

  • @Yasmar89 Was that game Tower of Goo? Because that's a prototype for this game. Also the PC version is better.

  • the title music stirred strong nostalgia :(

i miss this game so much

  • i no like classic game room better

  • I love this game .

  • I love this on my PC.

  • I have played this game twice a year ago.. & I love it !!

  • I liked the demo that I played, although I felt at times like I didn't quite understand how well a line between two points could hold together before it snapped. Lead to some frustrating trial and error in places.

  • The stort reminds me of the story in Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee.

  • wadda cowinkydink I just bought this like a week ago... on PC though... steam had a sweat ass sell

  • God I love the Undertow main theme. So 70's.

  • @BlackoutOmega

Thank you for not saying first.

  • @17R3W you do know that people say first when there not first to piss people off right?

  • @dajam9035

    Well it works!

I still owe you a "people from country X can't count past one" line, and an apology if that person isn't an 'MERICAN.

  • @Saltydko noob
