have they always been doing that "we can hear what they're thinking" thing? cause that's annoying and really seems like the easy way out to let's us just hear what they're thinking rather than show it to us through story development, i mean, this is a soap opera, they have all the time in the world
There was great momentum during this period of the show. You have to had it to Reilly. When you watch Maison Blanche, Possession, Aremid, and Paris, it really shows that he did have a master plan for these characters and that it was building toward something grand.
The plots were SO much more intelligent and well planned back during these days. It's no wonder Aremid was during the height of Days popularity when it received its best ratings in the history of the show.
As u may already know the beloved man who took Days Our lives to rating supreme has passed away. James E. Reilly wrote some of the best stories for Days in the 90s.

Hands down one of the best plots on Days. As vicious as Tony/Andre was here, Reilly did a good job of painting him as a sympathetic villain.

I couldn't agree more. It was an amazing wonderful time to be a Days fan. I loved these stories.

ITA. These were great storylines. One just flowed right into the next. I don't know what the "storyline" is now. It seems like they are just events.
