hi, im looking at getting a kingmotors baja and i was wondering if parts from the hpi baja would fit the kingmotors. parts like arms, shocks and other things that might break.
Yea they are exactly the same cars the HPI is just better built in a few ways ie. you will have to drill out the damper holes in the shocks of the kingmotors just a little bit to make the shocks performe the way they should. And also you should buy a HPI pull starter assembly when you buy the car as it will probably start the car twice at best before the insides shatter and it's reduced to a piece of plastic on a string. But yes all parts are the same and so is the motor. :-) Face
Hey one other thing you will have to d/l the HPI Baja 5b manual from their site as when you need to order parts you will need the HPI part numbers. And when you drill out those damper holes use the smallest drill bit you can find or even a hot pin it doesn't have to be made much bigger, be a good idea to have a look at the HPI SS shock kits as they are all apart and you can see the holes. i'm gonna order a km baja today. there's a sale that lasts until tomorrow and they are buy it now for $380. the only downside is $90 shipping. it's still cheap though.
Nice 1 will be keeping an eye for those then,yep i have watched all of ya clips of the baja's and they are looking realy nice its good to see a couple having a little battle rather than just 1 baja on its own it gives a better sense of how they handle.
Hi like the Baja's how does the kingmotor compare against the hpi? does the Zenoah engine give alot of gain in power over the stock Fulie in the hpi? Would love to see a straight race off between the 2.
Don't know if you have looked at the other vids I uploaded but there are a few high speed passes I got recorded the kingmotors 1 his quite a bit more grunt and he has also (the HPI is mine) put in the high speed gear set so he has quite a bit more top end but it's hard to use. I think mine is more zippy though but the build quality of the Zenoah is so much better so I 'd say it will last longest! Stay tuned will upload more footage as it gets recorded. Cheers Mate. Face

im trying to convince my dad to let me get one. but he says that its crap because its cheaper than the hpi, and that i wont be able to find parts.
but now i know its the same.
