@tyronety2000 had to use zip ties on the front because of reversing the front and rear brakes, Zip ties were used on the rear because the rear fender was cut into three different pieces. Sadly the fenders and the bike are no more, the poor 84 Raleigh Marathon Frame was bent beyond repair thanks to two winter accidents and it has been retired and replaced, by a 2005 surly long haul trucker
why did you have to use zip ties and not just the regular mounting hardware?
