Hi Freddy! It's Starbucks® Coffee and Mung Bean Sprouts... the rest is just crankin' up the video camera and recording stuff. Throw in a little arrangement and instant video... well, maybe not in an instant, but it's lots of fun along the way!
Hey Scott! Today i cleaned this room while watching/hearing video, so it was great to have a song to hear while doing the bad work, lol! Thanks!
P.S. I didn't forgot your video on 5 things about my country, i'm just not able to record outside now and i hope i can get my camera working again very soon, or maybe think about something indoors!
Youtube just would never be the same without Bodine! It's always nice to come over and listen to you strum your melodies. You have made so many videos and each one has a different kind of charm to it. Great vid and hope all is well Scott!
Thanks, Frank. I got to get back in the swing of things and get some new videos made. It's been a while! Should have another collaboration video with Jazzguts coming up soon. That'll be fun. I was missing my YouTube friends while away from the Tube.
Hey man, thanks for your interest.. a lovely muso, and from what I gather, a thoroughly nice bloke. He came back to me on myspace, and said my playing was 'sweet and affecting'.
He's a medical doctor, and now also a reverend in his day job. .. wow, what a gig!
Cris is a snorin right now, I'll show her your nice comment in the morning, or probably, afternoon!... how's work shapin' up?
I'm lucky enough to be occasionally now calling myself retired.
Hi Barry. Speaking of work. I got to hit the hay! Work is just that... work. Got to pay the bills, ya' know. I'm glad to see you're a full time musician now. I smashed my thumb at work today. Now I can't hold me bloody pick! Welpers, time to retire for the evenin'! Be talkin' to ya'! 8-)
Hi Ellen! Say hi to Natasha! Thanks for Sharing my video. I appreciate it. I haven't been on YouTube hardly at all for the last couple weeks, but I'm glad to hear from you!
Exquisite, masterful guitar, and Miles Davis and Bill Evans!-- you're taking on the greats here and doing a terrific job. I think I'm jealous, I never should have retired my guitar, I'm, like, waaaayyyy out of practice now. But the sleeping giant is still under the bed, and I could swear, sometimes it beckons to me lol Anyway, 5***** have a great day, Scott!
Thanks, Steve. Got to get your Guitar out and play, man. I actually haven't been playing much lately myself, but I had a hankerin' to work out this tune and let 'er rip. Damn the torpedoes! Sometimes you just got to do what you got to do, especially if you like doing it!
A very special tune Scott, I know Miles was also fond of exotic scales, actually he was fond of everything that had new fresh approach on Jazz(great mentality), there's a fragment you're only playing on the bass line,I like this openness it creates a great dynamic surprise, great soloing, adventurous.I'll send you a personal mail, greets Maestro,Vic.
Hello, Vic. I was going to do the song slow, but went and listened to the Bill Evans Trio and they were playing it quite fast, so I went with a faster tempo, too. The song has this weird resolution from EM7 to Em. Playing typical EM7 ideas over the EM7 didn't cut it so, I just figure I'd turn the camera on and just let it fly however it would.
very nice and fluid. its interesting how the song hangs on a brief arabian scale for a moment interesting fusion in this song- before people were even talking about fusion. 5 stars you play great
Thanks, wolfgang. This was a one take lead. I thought it was OK for a first take, so I went with it. I'd probably do it a little different if I was to do it over again. Glad you liked it.
