Did you know you will get better power by using acethylene a fuel gas made by driping water on calcuim Carbide, if you add this fuel and mix it with browns gas from a water fuel cell then your vehical would need only minerals and water for fuel.

I would It would be grate as a experiment in to Alternate renewable fuels We can inexpensivly make Calcium carbide and water is easy to come by, The only draw back to acetyline is that it needs more oxigen then is in the air to burn cleanly, but if it was mixed with H2+H2+O2 from a water fuel cell or one was to chemicaly produce nitetrusoxide by reaction and mix it in small % the burn would become clean and have far more power than even gasoline.

Sucks that you have a crappy emissions era smallblock. 305's are the worst smallblocks chevy produced. That engine is probably only pushing 200 horsepower. But that's a crazy conversion. Hope you pull some good power out of it, those 77's are heavy as crap.

You are right about that crappy emission stuff on these engines, and the power this engine produces is not that great. It's hard to leve with smoking tires, but hey; it's just a nice car to cruise with. =)

Definitely a nice ride. I had an '86 El Camino with 400 horses out of a 350 smallblock. I loved it. Wish I would have taken more videos of it =(

I would suggest you change the heads and valves, because they will burn when you drive on propane in a longer time frame; in many cases here in Europe they won't change the heads of these type of cars. These engines are pretty strong, and can last a very long time running on propane.

Het is geen IMPCO installatie. Een IMPCO mixer kun je niet met standaard adapters passend krijgen en zul je dus genoodzaakt zijn een arm te moeten kopen.

hi mate, i am just wondering ranning LPG does really saving? what is your LPG bottel size, how far can you go with full bottel of LPG? i am thinking to do the conversion for my 1966 impala.... BTW, really nice video

Hi there! Here in the Netherlands you pay for a litre of LPG the half of the price of regular gasoline. It rund a little bit richer on LPG, but will save you approx 40% on fuel. I runs around 5km on a litre LPG.

Please keep in mind that the engine will run way less miles on LPG, because it's a very dry fuel. The heads, or at least the valves, need to be changed; something not many people do when they run these type of engiens on propane.

By the way, go for the brand IMPCO.

Hi Martijn,

Als je een knappe IMPCO installatie erin zet, merk je er weinig van. Natuurlijk heb je verlies in vermogen, maar dat is dan minimaal. Zorg dt je een voorraadpotje erin hebt van IMPCO, soort van buffer voor gas als je het nodig hebt bij vol gas.
