  • Reminds me of Streetlight

  • I want sunglasses that make everything look like your on acid!!

  • Thankfully I grew up in LTJ ska era, thnk god. hate all this mainstream crap that's out you'd think reaching out to the idiot masses they would provide decent music, gaga? don't make me laff.

I'll always go back to LTJ, kill me if they die off.

    Love EM!!!!!!!!

  • LOVE this song!!!!

Less Than Jake - the best band :D

  • 1:44 that measure gives me goosebumps everytime

  • this is the best best band of this genre. i think we can all agree

  • @michaelrod14 them and reel big fish

  • WHAT THE FAUCFNWKNK HAPPENED TO THEM!

  • @mbonsh2 what do you mean?

  • ska music yeah

  • Ray-ban's: Making the world look fucked up since 2008.

  • @WhoaTheIrony Ray-ban's have been popular way longer than just 2008. Bob Dylan used to wear them.

  • @Thecalebguy they shot the video in 2008... i know they've been around for longer.

  • My generation is so fucked up eh

they sit watching stuff lke gaga

I'd much rather the world learnt to listen to good stuff like these guys than be rich or well known

Glad these guys are still rockin it after all the years

  • Why does every want good music like this to be popular? Thats what makes it so special is that only those 600,000 + people jam to it. I hate mainstream bullshit. If you make this popular then thats what it becomes. Main stream. Fuck that.

  • @0swingLIFEaway0 Hipster much? :D

  • @LongviewGD182 Haha no I don't mean it like that. Just like I don't want it to be popular how like today's hip hop is popular.

  • @0swingLIFEaway0 wait...... you DON'T want your favorite bands to be popular? I didn't think someone could be such a douchebag.

  • @ 1:17 it's a young Frankie Boyle!

  • This album is return to their roots and its on their own label. They're not selling out.

  • @Wotansp Shut your fucking trap.

  • @Wotansp HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • they work under there own record label.... they are faaar from sellouts

  • que genialllllll!

  • Respond to this video... @bullanochmaggan WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!!!!!! Oh JUST BECAUSE YOUR AN IDIOT DOESNT MEAN YOU HAVE TO SPEW YOUR NEGATIVENESS ON EVERYONE ELSE! YOU HAVE A PROBLEM AND IT IS NEVER GONNA CHANGE! KEEP YOUR OPINION TO YOURSELF YOU MONSTER! I GUESS YOU JUST MET SOMEONE WHO'S LIKED THIS VIDEO! AND THERE IS A WHOLE LOT MORE PEOPLE LIKE ME THAN YOU! SO YOU SHOULD JUST SHUT THE HECK UP!

  • @bullanochmaggan youre a cunt

  • i would love those glasses!!! :D

  • i love this song :D

  • i want those sun glasses!!!

  • punk and ska are like strawberries and cream; they just go together so perfectly

  • Punk, Ska-Punk, Pop-Punk, Hardcore Punk, Melodic Hardcore Punk.

if it has punk in the name, it's made to win.

  • anybody else agree that the dude who's walking around is on way too much acid?

  • someone in the band liked the movie "they live"

  • i want those trippy sunglasses!

  • @kodak139 it's called lsd hahaha

  • GoGo Less Than Jake !

  • Lion city's sirens kept 56 people awake at night

  • co za asy!

  • I'd like to go to a video of a good band without seeing people arguing over what genre it is. Who gives a fuck? It kicks ass and that's all that matters!

  • POGOSKA!!

  • Freedom sound by the skatalites

    THAT'S SKA

  • @JaelMacossay Exactly Man. At last. someone with understanding!

  • This isn't proper ska, but it does have hints of it.

  • @keiren69 it isn't ska, its ska-punk....or at least thats what I think

  • @dgd151 it is not what you think, it is what it is, this lovely mainstream sounding piece of music is not even close to ska

  • @JaelMacossay relax

  • lol complaining about lady gaga

  • they're getting a little streelight manifesto

  • @cundionfire So you mean they're transitioning from third to fourth wave ska?

  • @devonedwards013 lol I honestly have no idea. Is streetlight considered a fourth wave ska band?

  • SKA'S NOT DEAD!

  • the horns are back!

  • Well, guys, Less Than Jake is not purely ska, eh?

  • This, a little over 600,000 views. Gaga, over 60 million in some videos. What the hell today's idiot society? I am not amused.

  • @SlapHappyJesus Lady Gaga can actually sing and play piano, though. At the very least, that's better than Beiber!

  • @SlapHappyJesus i'm happy, gaga is for dumbshits......i like to stay in the few.....600.000 clever pleople, vs 60 million superficial assholes.....

  • @SlapHappyJesus id prefer good shit to stay with cool people. and most people arent cool.

  • @SlapHappyJesus its better this way man ! its exclusive

  • @SlapHappyJesus

    maybe you are bmused ;)

  • @SlapHappyJesus that means you are not mainstream..

and that means you are one of us =D

  • @SlapHappyJesus That shows that there is an average of a little more than 600k people that have good taste in music! lol

  • @SlapHappyJesus yeah but everyone would call them sellouts if they got popular :/

  • @itstrikE I hate that term being used as such. Making money and creating recognition through your work isn't selling out. It is getting rewarded for your efforts. Selling out is capitalizing on the profit you can make, usually through changing either your own ideals or the integrity of your work to better conform to the larger audience. Either way, I do rather like knowing that the minority knows more about good music than the majority now-a-days. I just wish I could stand listening to radio.

  • @SlapHappyJesus summed it up very well there.

  • @SlapHappyJesus 96.7 fm in hopkinton RI, thats a great radio station look it up sometime

  • @SlapHappyJesus dissapointed i would say....

  • @SlapHappyJesus to be fair Lady Gaga is good why is that people compare apples and oranges there is some instrumental post-rock I listen to that is a million times more talented than LTJ but why would I complain about views and how many people like it? I assume people all want different things from music and really a view count is only contingent on how a artist is marketed and has nothing to do with talent.

  • Anyone think this video concept is a mix of :

The Mighty Mighty BossToneS - Sad to Say and Goldfinger - Open Your Eyes

  • @plasterofparisify They sound very old Living End-y

  • @SlapHappyJesus

There's nothing wrong with society, it's just that a large majority of people listen to Lady Gaga. Nothing wrong with that at all. Can't necessarily force things on people, right? Plus Lady Gaga is quite talented. Just saying is all, people have different tastes in musics. :)

  • @SlapHappyJesus i wish i had over 600,00 views

  • @SlapHappyJesus exactly why im trying to help my 7 year old sister and 3 year old brother listen to music like this. and not follow the crowd with repetitve ass hip hop artists

  • @SlapHappyJesus You're the worst kind of person.

  • i can't wait til warped tour this year :D

  • those horns in the intro get me from zero to boner in 0 seconds flat

  • @Tron9222 i'm right there with you dude!

  • notice they don't have a vevo. HEROES

  • is there a real city called lion city?

  • @winggoddess nope, the name is just symbolic for a once great city. Although it might be another word for a major town like new york for example.

  • Rx Bandits, We Are The Union, Forthrights, Stuck Lucky, A Billion Ernies, Murphy’s Kids,Matt Wixson, Informant, Pericles, The Best Of The Worst

All in the same place! Oh how I love living in New Orleans.

  • fantastic song

  • reel big fish and less than jake are the bestttt

  • LONG LIVE SKA!!!!!

  • i would hate ska to be mainstream. it sounds good, but it wouldn't be. i would like to see more people get into it, and have more local ska bands, but if it was mainstream, there would soon be ska versions of the jonas brothers and shit on tv. and on the radio. and everywhere. there will be rude boy posers. i personally enjoy going to small places to see good bands. it should stay this way. we just need more ska. i don't want mainstream ska.

  • I'm pretty new to the ska scene but I'm damn glad I found it!

  • I wish i had those glasses lol

  • Ska isn't dead. Music travels in waves... Think about it like this. 70's was disco and hard rock, (2-tone and punk also) right? Then that died. 80's was hip hop and electronic, synthpop, etc. Then the 90's, well grunge and alternative rock formed from hardrock, and disco made a small comeback. And ska and punk came back around. In the 2000's and now, it's hip hop (not as great) again and electornic/dance right? Well ska and punk should be back soon... if the waves continue as they do.

  • @dXAriseXb there are alot of underground ska bands around.

  • @fshn4jc yup lol i know a lot of them. Ima skalaholic

  • @dXAriseXb I was just saying that because you said "Well ska and punk should be back soon" But it never went away!

  • @fshn4jc yeah music never goes away. There just comes the moments, when its stale. I mean, ska and punk use to be on the radio, heard of, people knew what it was. Im one uf 22 people in my school know what ska is, and can name 5 punk bands i listen to >.> by coming back, i mean that it's going to make its way into fame again.

And too many ska bands try to be like streetlight, half of which know they dont have the skill, but play rediculious shit. lol

  • So if I get those glasses I hear LTJ everywhere I go? ... WANT.

  • Dam... where do i get those glasses...

  • i don't want ska to go mainstream. imagine what would happen if jersey shore idiots started making it popular and "changing it for the better" i don't want soulja boy ska.....ska should remain as it is, a close kept untold secret to those that truly appreciate its beauty

  • @Udonnell such a fucking hipster...

  • Comment removed

  • @Udonnell Soulja boy ska

  • @Udonnell It's 1995 and I agree!

  • @Udonnell technically its ska punk... original ska is basically reggae without the blues influence... however i totally fuckin agree!

  • @Udonnell

Well, if you think you're getting an underground ska band by listening to LTJ, then odds are you're 13 and have been listening to ska for like 5 min......they're about as mainstream as they come , with the exception of like Reel Big Fish or something....I mean don't get me wrong I'm a HUGE Less Than Jake fan, seen em more times than I can count, but don't watch a Jake video and think you're some sort of underground ska elitist......even Soulja Boy knows about LTJ!!!!!

  • @DjHeadDaddy I didn't say this was underground ska. I said ska wasn't mainstream. I know what ska is I've seen everyone from streetlight manifesto to social antidote. I say to each his own, if someone wants call themselves an "elitist" because they know what ska is let 'em, don't call them on it and put on that big happy face because apparently knowing certain bands makes you a better person.

  • @Udonnell You don't want ska to be mainstream, though this comment is on one of the more mainstream ska bands videos? Ska goes through waves of prominence. You must not remember the 90's when you couldn't flip on a station without hearing it.

  • @unluckymisfit "one of the more" I don't know a lot of people that know what this is. There are still a lot of people that know it, but I'm pretty sure there are more that know about Gaga than Less than Jake. Then again what do I know after all I didn't listen to the radio in the 90's.

  • @Udonnell How are people supposed to discover the beauty of ska if it is hidden everybody should listen to it it is kind of shelfish to keep ska a secret and to ourselves. Everybody deserves to witness the best music ever created. Anyways if ska changed it wouldn't be ska it would be something else.

  • @Mrpersonsirman there are some people that should never find out about it. I would rather keep it a secret then make the mistake of showing it to the person who invented skacore. its ska and death core it exists and in my opinion it is a mutilation of good ska.

  • @Udonnell That's one thing that could happen but it is better to have ska known than to let it go extinct because less people from younger generations don't know about it. I actually have to explain ska to people.

  • @Mrpersonsirman I say pass it down but be smart as to who you pass it down to. pass it to the younger generations like little brothers but don't give it to fucks. nobody likes a fuck.

  • @Udonnell I like to fuck...

  • @Udonnell Dude like I said keeping ska away from people is selfish everybody deserves to hear the beauty of ska it is the best music I know and anyways dude what would be the problem if ska was on mainstream radio I would love to hear some good music on the radio anyways. I think it might be better for the world to hear one of the best genres ever anyways

  • @Udonnell I was into Ska before it was popular. I like a couple of bands but they are really underground, you have probably never heard of them..

  • @ThijnHoetjes lol

  • @ThijnHoetjes Hipster Troll?

  • @Udonnell the problem with that is what if our little "club" breaks apart? would ska die?

  • @noideac Ska will never die, not so long as one person still skanks

  • @noideac ska won't die. I won't let it and I hope you don't either.

  • @Udonnell ... come on man its not like this music is super easy to make

the thing about it is to even play the power chords you have to have some dexterity, and i really doubt if you handed soulja boy a guitar hed know what to do with it, but i digress, im always seeing people saying stuff about how lady gaga sucks so much, LETS FUCKING DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT

if were the majority why do we accept that our societys music taste sucks

  • @Udonnell i agree. i dont liek ska. at all. but i believe the genres should stay the way they way they are and not having stupid fucking cenesters and bands like green day trying to change them. youre not fucking punk. youre alternative radio and youll never be punk.

  • @Udonnell its great how they embrace it too. they introduced themselves at warped tour as the greatest band youve never heard of

  • @Udonnell amen

  • problem with ska is the mainstream belief is that they all sound the same

  • @Biisko ska-p and less than jake sound the same??:D

  • my god i love this song so much

  • Alright guys i didnt mean to piss my brothers off here, i was just saying i wish there was more ska, there should always be an abundance of ska. NOW STOP AND SKANK WITH ME

  • I love the brass on this track!

  • Comment removed

  • less than jake + streetlight manifesto = my life

  • Check out new riot, proof that ska's not dead

  • hey i notice the trumpet in this song...

whats the song that goes like

burr burr burr burrrrr bur bur burbubur burr burr burr burrrrr bur bur burbubur burr burr burr burrrrr bur bur burbubur

i dont remember the lyrics XD

but please i been looking for that song for over 10 years!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @appleman1324

the impression that i get by mighty mighty bosstones

  • @Dazaaah holy shit thank you!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Dazaaah You were able to figure that out? Impressive!

  • @appleman1324 I think I know what song your talking about. Try "Nervous in the Alley" from their album Hello Rockview. Hope I got it right lol

  • @wydo4 oh ya lol, i found out it was "mighty mighty bosstones" but that song sounds close ;)

  • Wow...a ska song, that is good, but depressing? All ska usually makes me happy, and want to dance all night, but this song has kind of something sad to it...

  • ude, that's the LSD glases :D

  • sounds like tony hawk pro skater music.

  • @HumbleThyself230 exactly what i thought when it started

  • legal essa banda!

  • @siahlakota: GNV FLA.

  • does anybody know what album this is off of?

  • Man these days suck, all the awesome genres are dying like ska and hardcore punk thanks to mainstream popularity.

  • Respect everyones music taste :) x

  • I'm in love :')

    Beautiful.

  • i love how the two top rated comments contradict each other hahaha

  • Is this song about detroit? because there are some parallels

  • @BandP136

i am not sure but i think its about their home town Gainesville ;)

  • @OriginalLolfett well i was thinkin because its about a city thats sorta past its prime (or at least that what i get out of it) and there is also the detroit lions

  • @OriginalLolfett From my knowlege The Lion City is St. Augustine Florida, I live just south of it.

  • Its obvious why ska isn't as popular. I play saxophone and guitar, and people are always way more excited to hear guitar. I'm a far better sax player, and I spent hundreds of dollars taking lessons and learning probably. People just aren't interested in those things.

  • ska never left...

  • But, is he died or he's still roaring his way through life?

  • was this shot in GNV?

  • Ska is comin back...Im just waiting to catch the next wave

  • is this song about detroit?

  • Man i love talkin about ska, skankers unite!!!!

  • ska gigs are by far some of the most fun to go to, everyone seems to be so positive and just out to have a good time in the circle pits!

  • Less Than Jake...recomendadisimo full Ska Punk...

  • i dont like listening to ska, but i sure as hell love playing ska gigs

  • i wouldent say ska is dead but it sure is dieing

  • madonna che forti che so
