@adam3176 Apart from the grille cloth, the machine is totally original & stock. I've only ever replaced a couple main spring in the motor over the last 30 yrs.
Interesting! That phonograph was probably made in the 1920's and the record is from the early '50's. The grooves on that record will be damaged using the stainless steel need on that machine not to mention that the grooves on that record are far to small for those needles.
I swear you have a GREAT collection of 78's iv just started to collect them, Your lucky to have as many Andrews Sisters records as you do...Got any Kay Kyser?!
True... a couple months ago I heard my 8 year old neice singing "I kissed a girl, and I liked it.." Todays pop culture is degenerate trash compared to the older days.
omg! i would have a serious talk with that kid. who in the world is allowing her to listen to lesbian songs..? they turn in to freaks fast enough, why rush it? i am shocked at this...she should be listening to no radio..give her book or select c d s ..OH LORD!
I'm scared...I expect Leatherface to look into the camera...haha

lightly spray some WD-40 on the record it will sound better and the record will last longer <-- also a Jukebox trick
Fader2003 7 months ago
@Fader2003 LOL, never.... WD40 is one of the WORST things you can apply to a 78. You might as well be smearing kerosene or butter on your records ")

I'm trying to remember if my version of this song, with "The Bunny Hop" on the other side, is a 78 or a 45.
