Actually what Alexis did was criminal. She murdered an unborn child. If I was Krystle I would have kicked her ass, too. And yes, Krystle whupped that ass!!!
This was the first and the best. The show quickly turned to crap after this, but this season was the best. And after all the tension between the two of them building all season, the catfight was so unexpected and a great release for the audience (who kept hoping Krystle would finally just grow a pair and slap Alexis down).
@anotherangel78, For one thing, if Joan got hurt (broke a bone, scraped, cut herself, etc), the show couldn't go on filming further episodes without her. Second, Joan believed in never putting a stunt person out of work. Third, safety first! Why take a hard fall to the floor when they can pay someone else to dress like you, and do it for you?! Even though, Linda Evans enjoyed doing a lot of her own stunts, even she was allowed to do only so much.

brinpol, You said the windmill never works. It depends on which windmill technique is used. The slow, weak version as used by Alexis here, will always fail.
However, there's a super-speed version of the windmill that WILL work. When I was about 7 years old, my brother and a neighbor friend wanted me to fight the neighbor's sister, who was about my age. I was getting her good until she discovered the fast windmill. Let's just say, I went home crying.

If you look closely, during the vigorous parts of the 'fight', the camera pulls away and most of the shots are taken from behind and the characters' bodies suddenly become more agile and muscular. Two stuntmen in drag, perhaps?
At times the stunt people look like women and at times men. That's something I've wondered about too. In the fight with Alexis and Dominique I could tell that the stunt person for Dominique was definitely male. There is something in men's bone structure than no matter how petite they are you can still tell they're men.
Alexis slaps the face of the woman she cause to miscarriage and walks away? Where did she think she was going? That Krystle was going to break into tears and leave? Alexis was lucky Krystle didn't kill her.
There was only one "Dynasty" and one Alexis and one Krystle. When television was at its peak. Best catfight ever. Other shows tried to replicate this, but couldn't.
TheJaking, The flashback was more of a reminder for the viewers. Krystle did not see Alexis shoot the rifle, but she heard her. Episodes leading up to this studio fight, Alexis kept reminding Krystle she did not share a bond with Blake thru children. Krystle put the clues together and paid her a visit. Realizing she was caught, Alexis would later call the firing of the rifle "an accident".
I like this fight better than the Lily Pond fight only because the motivation for Krystal kicking Alexis ass was better IMHO. After finding out that someone was responsible for killing your unborn child, anyone would beat the crap out of the guilty culprit.

The others were good but didn't have quite the motivation the other ones did.

Alexis had a permanent connection to Blake and the Carrington clan because of her children and because Blake's father loved Alexis. She was also a ball busting business woman who snatched Blake's company from him. She made Krystle lose her baby.
Alexis must have been insane herself for slapping Krystle after she was responsible for her losing the baby. Alexis was lucky that Krystle didn't kill her!

There was only one "Dynasty" and one Alexis and one Krystle. When television was at its peak. Best catfight ever. Other shows tried to replicate this, but couldn't.

TheJaking, The flashback was more of a reminder for the viewers. Krystle did not see Alexis shoot the rifle, but she heard her. Episodes leading up to this studio fight, Alexis kept reminding Krystle she did not share a bond with Blake thru children. Krystle put the clues together and paid her a visit. Realizing she was caught, Alexis would later call the firing of the rifle "an accident".

I like this fight better than the Lily Pond fight only because the motivation for Krystal kicking Alexis ass was better IMHO. After finding out that someone was responsible for killing your unborn child, anyone would beat the crap out of the guilty culprit.

@macdance71 Actually, the lily pond was also motivated (and related to the miscarriage that Alexis caused)... remember, she said Krystle was "the empty-armed Madonna; mourning the baby that she couldn't have, and the one she almost got to adpot)... ;) That deserves a dunk in the pond... lol

@ncjuppiter Not necessarily; the lilypond catfight happened b/c Alexis threw Krystle's miscarriage in her face; the Sable/Alexis fight happened when Alexis revealed to a room full of people that Sable's daughter was a bastard; the Krystle/Rita fight happened b/c Rita was basically stealing Krystle's life. The others were good but didn't have quite the motivation the other ones did.

Love how Joan Collins needed a stand-in and Linda Evans did her own fighting. Collins was probably afraid she'd chip a fingernail. Also, did you notice both times when vases of flowers were thrown they had no water in them? Who puts fresh flowers in vases without water?

LOL! Alexis got a few good hits in there but Krystle did ultimately win this catfight. still...if you look at the whole show, Alexis ALWAYS had the drop on Krystle. Alexis had a permanent connection to Blake and the Carrington clan because of her children and because Blake's father loved Alexis. She was also a ball busting business woman who snatched Blake's company from him. She made Krystle lose her baby.
