Even if MrG&W is heavier, he is still the 2nd lightest. His defense has improved, though his rolls are still poor. His shield now covers him completely, in Melee it gave him terrible cover. His dsmash is now disjointed and the sourspot is much stronger.

Conclusion best improved character from Melee to Brawl though Marth and Falco are on similar level now so I can't say G&W is the best veteran in Brawl.

Jigglypuff and G&W have the same weight, I just said he's the lightest cause he's 2D. The ten lightest characters in then game(who are the game's ten lightweights) from 10 to 1 are Fox, Pikachu, Meta Knight, Kirby, Peach, Falco, Zelda/Shiek, Olimar, Jigglypuff, and G&W. G&W is my main, he's awesome to use. His smashes are either with huge knockback or huge %, his recovery is unpredictable, his side+B can change the tide of battle, he got a ranged attack, what else do you need?

but the bucket is so good, it can counter any projectile from either side of him (meaning he can get hit in the back and it still counters it) and when you unload the bucket its SOO powerful because its the combined damage that all the attacks would do. so imagine getting hit by 3 thunder bolts at once or 3 or 3 pk flashes at once, if the all 3 attacks are strong ones the bucket is devastating.

No, i tested no.9 judge and 3 pk flash oil panic on Bowser(the strongest moves can Ko him at low damge) and he didn't get KO until he about 50%. The strongest move is Dedede's fully charged foward smash which can KO Bowser at 10%.

I've been maining G&W since the early days of Melee, and after I saw this video back in February I was like "HOLY SHIT G&W IS UNBELIEVABLE". Then I got Brawl and played as G&W and it confirmed my suspicions. He is definately one of the best characters in the game.

And just to let you guys know, I like his Nair in Brawl (fishbowl) better than his Nair in Melee (parachute).

I like G&W too. I don't main him but he's pretty cool because he is always underestimated. His attacks have high knockback and his aerial moves are all good. One really bad thing is that his Chef is still pretty much useless.

chef can lock up on you sometimes and shoot 5 instead of your intended 1 or 2.. which sucks.. but sometimes its random trajectory can help you out in a game

Well, your partially right. I'm not saying he sucks, he's great, but he's not the best. He does, however come in third, after Snake and Meta Knight. Snake is first because of his mind games. You really need to log lots of time with him. Meta Knight is second because of his godly AS. Game and Watch comes in third because he kickass in the air, isn't light anymore, has great smashes, and infinite recovery.

I think the most amusing thing about G&W is that he's the ONLY CHARACTER in the history of Smash Brothers to have every single one of his moves actually come from one of his games. Everyone else (from Mario to Snake and so on) had to have supplemental moves thought up for them, but from his grab to his smashes to his FS, every single one of them is from one of his games.

Well yeah, I'm guessing Mario's capable of punching and kicking and Kirby can swat and punch, but I mean Mr.Game and Watch is the only character whose entire moveset actually appeared in his games. For example, Snake's crawling-sweep kick, Sonic's spike-throw, etc., aren't from their games. And I've even played Sonic Battle and Sonic the Fighters ;)

Whereas for G&W even his grab comes from a Game and Watch game, and his throw comes from another. Every little thing he does it out of his games.

but G&W is good enough that his final smash shouldn't be the turning point of the match... you should be able to beat anyone with just his regular move set not his final smash (which is just fine by the way, you just have to keep following the person until you hit them and then just keep juggling them until they are KO'ed.

When you are in squid mode you can move it around freely and can also jump (no double jump i think)... if you press A repeatedly, you can make him move his tentacles... which make a lot of damage... but then the body does less.. if you dont press A the body does more damage...

I love G&W because his moves are so erratic and fast. He is one of the only charicters that has 2 diffrent aerials that end upon landing regardless of there progression. This leaves you open to attack with basically anything, such as a Down+A Smash after a Down+A aerial.

Not only this, but he also has some of the most Lag-Free moves. His Priority isn't bad, either.

His movements are actually very very fast outside of his rolling dodge. He runs fast, DIs well, and he can attack out of his Up-B and fall faster than most characters with a D-air.

No, in brawl his bucket absorbs 3 energy attacks (ness lucas samus lucario starrods etc) and depending on the degree of strength of those attacks (say a hardcore charge samus' gun, or lucarios...whatever) it does according damage.

Because Game&Watch is a character who can pwn lots of things easily. While skilled users of Toon Link or the like can jump just as high or higher while still retaining some unique qualities, Mr. Game & Watch has a variety of intresting moves and general attributes that make him a great character. Like the parachute, #9 Hammer and the Bucket.

I think Game&Watch has a huge amount of appeal. Most people who play Brawl have never played and Game and Watch games. The same was for IceClimbers, Pit, ROB, and even Melee's two Fire Emblem characters. The appeal is that you are able to see into games that you probably won't play. As for general appeal, I think a 2D character is an intresting change to all the other characters. His clickclack movement is based on the fact that he is Game&Watch, who moves in single images rather than streams.
