DO NOT DELETE SYSTEM APPS THAT WAY.. you deleted the main bit but i guarantee theres still other bits of the app installed elsewhere on your phone.. what you do is install 'Root Uninstaller' theres about 5 different apps on the market, you use that then you download 'SD MAID' and it clears all the cache and files that were left behind from those apps

My EVO eats battery life.

If I let it auto-update my battery will be dead every morning (yes, I do plug it in at night but before I started doing that I had a dead battery in just a couple of hours...and the battery is new).

ANYTHING that extends my battery life is a good thing.

I have not Rooted my phone, I plan to try Juice Defender first.

Hey rooted my Samsung Galaxy Pop SCH i 559 (as sold in India commonly sold as Samsung Galaxy Mini CDMA) using SuperoneClick downloaded ROM Manager on the device but ROM Manager does not recognise the device it shows all other phones except this one... also cannot find any CUstom ROMs available for this phone....

@GoaBelchior I'm sorry your having problems getting a custom rom. One thing you should know is that your phone is a medium to low end phone and not all phones out today get support for your device. If you can't find any then there is no custom rom. Unless you google it. At least you get to be rooted and use all those nice rooted apps that come along useful
