He's actually singing live. The thing about it is that the sound board operator mutes his mic in and out at times. Some parts sound EXACTLY like the CD when his mic is on mute, and other parts sound live b/c his mic is un-muted. It's just plain sloppiness on his part to be holding out the mic to the audience at 2:00 when his lead vocal is coming out the speakers from the backing track!

All pop singers in general have a backround track just in case. And most labels make beginner singers use a track while they start getting used to the nerves and stuff. But later on he will sing without the track. Plus, he was still singing into the mic. I though he looked great.

Most of you are wrong. I'm not sure if anyone pointed this out but he IS singing and when he points the mic out to the audience, the guitarist is singing. You could see his mic at around 2:31. I'm not sure but I think the drummer also has a mic at that same time so he is singing easily distinguished by some singing off key and what I pointed out.
