  • Amazing... I love this. I am from Indonesia and I am very proud you sang this song.

  • first, i don't like the choreography.... i know that u saw and copied it from u tube, but perhaps before performing this song, u should ask or search Java culture from Indonesia embassy on your country....

second, the high tone of sopranos is killing my ear...

over all, i love your choir to choose this repertoire,,,

  • I think you need to dictate the Javanese words a bit clearer and on time because some were rushing it and I as a Javanese did not get anything. Just a suggestion:P Overall it was nice to hear though :D

  • director fail =)

  • nature's call!!

    ROFL

  • He said South West China??...it's totally wrong. Maybe he saw the performance of ITB Choirs in World Choir Games 2006 in Xiamen, China...so that's why he said it's in south west china.

  • you are great! why don't you come to Indonesia and show us that another country including you loves Indonesia :D

  • ehh... good work, with some incorrect pronounciations..

by the way, who the hell said that java was china? Java is not a country, it's one of indonesia province..

    ckckck...

i think you really good at copy the coreography from ITB Choir, but maybe you better tell them first before do it..

cause i know they make it hardly and do the practice hardly too..

    :(

    just suggestion..

    :)

but i glad you sings indonesian song..

    more please!

  • aside from few missspelling, .... very great performance..., 4 thumbs up ... :), and I like your perform... :) very much ... Greeting from Fidelis Choir, St. Joseph, Bintaran Chatolic Church, Yogyakarta, Indonesia

  • AWESOME! really. this is imo the best rendition of this song by non indonesian choir. u guys really nailed the flirty & coy nature of the lyric (about temptation to do the s*x**g ;) ). the soprano did well. and the guy was hella funny :DDD

  • im from indonesian, and gagal pertamax :D

  • bagus bung

btw kabar ini udah tersebar di kaskus loh

    hahahahaha

  • pertamax gan :D

  • nice piece of work

but east java, isn't a country southwest of China

    it's one of Indonesian Province,

Bali (Bali Province) and Bugis (South Sulawesi Province) are also ethnics of Indonesia

There are around 300 distinct native ethnicities in Indonesia, and 742 different languages and dialects. Banyuwangi (located on East Java Province) is one of the region with it's own traditional language that use in this song.

  • @MrSemego Is it not a great pity that the Indonesian people are smothered by a harsh, intolerant religion, crooked foreign business practices and a military-controlled government? I have a Javanese lady friend here in Hong Kong who ,like many more of her sisters, works like a slave. I would prefer to see her happily singing this wonderful song back in her own land, living a comfortable life.

  • @jockhamish yes there something wrong with this country esp. the urban. It's not the religion m8 and the government not controlled by military since 1998 even we still lead by ex-general he was chosen by democratic election. Indonesian have to learn again about their values, 300 years colonialism + 32 years silent-killer-regime ruin it

  • @MrSemego Well that sounds better than I thought it was! Let us hope that your country's great singing and music can put Indonesia on the map again! I believe music is the medicine to give people hope. I remember the words of Elvis Presley - " The day is not complete until you sing a song". As a singer,I know this is true! Regards to you.

  • Wow,you make us proud as indonesian :-) Good Performance !

  • i'm so proud to be Indonesian.. :D

  • NATURE CALLS.....!

  • nice piece of work...

btw, I've seen many non-Indonesian performing Luk Luk Lumbu (East Java) and Janger (Bali). but i've never seen any performing Marencong rencong (Bugis). Probably you can???

  • Well done! I'm Indonesian and feel like I'm listening to native Javanese singing this song.

  • Thank you so much :) now look at my intro is it incorrect or are they just being annoying?

    tomntam01

  • @tomntam01 woooww... are kidding?? I'm an Indonesian and I'm amazed....that's perfect!!!!! :)

  • @psychofath Thank you so much I feel better now. :)

  • Look Up Smoky Hill High School Choir Singing Luk Luk Lumbu

  • Will do.

    tomntam01

  • Haha... 'Java, a country southwest of China."

Java is a region in Indonesia, to the south-southeast of China. XD

Ok, that aside, it was pretty good. Just that it lacks the 'Asian' feel that the Asian choirs tend to naturally give to the song. A bit too fast as well.

  • thank you for your appreciation to our cultures, Indonesia :)

  • You are so welcome!

    tomntam01

  • good rendition hehheeee..

if you like why don't you try "Janger" next time hehheee.. I think you can still enjoyed to performing it.. ^^

  • java is NOT IN CHINA. good grief.

  • Pufferfishboy, There is no place stating that it is in China. I wrote it was from Indonesia and the Intro states it is from the Java Region South West of China.

    Have a great day.

    tomntam01

  • nice rendition...

  • there is like one tenor and soprano whose voices stand out and they are SO ANNOYING, but i disregarded them and its wicked good

  • That was the point of the introduction... to say thank you to the ITB choir. Listen to the introduction

  • I agree, It is important to listen completly. Thank you for sticking up for us. U-High has an awesome Choir Department with an amazing Director.
