With all due respect, I think Thomas sort of takes out the simplicity of drums in former albus of TMV. Jon Theodore had a more "elegant" style of playing the songs, even in live performances. This one feels like what would happen if Megadeth performed with Mike Portnoy on drums. Drums are pointlessly gallant.

I've watched several live videos of the band playing this song- a couple with Pridgen, and a couple with Theodore...I keep thinking one of them is outdoing the other, only to have the other surprise me.

At this point, I'm convinced that Theodore is the secret love child of Billy Cobham and Dave Weckl, while Pridgen is some unholy union of motorcyle engine and man. Both living legends; this must be how my parents' generation felt at Woodstock, watching legacies unfold before their eyes.
