If someone smokes pot, they aren't going to lose motivation to go kill someone. They'd be stoned, yeah, but they can still function. Kill some people and burn some buildings down. If anything they can focus more on what they are trying to acomplish. I would think doing crack or meth would be a BAD idea if you were doing this. You'd be disoriented, sketched out. It wouldn't be fun.

the truth about the hashassins is that they didn't eat hash and then go kill people. They were brought to a palace with a beutiful garden and were fed hash there. They would be too stoned to move and had feelings of euphoria. The "old man" who ran the place would tell them "you can stay here if you want, but only if you kill so and so". Smoking/eating marijuana doesn't make you energized enough to go kill people. Maybe crystal meth or crack would, but not pot.
