I diddent know that tide organ was there! Where abouts is it situated by?

It's right opposite the northe entrance to the Pleasure Beach (main entrance), next to the 'Sand Castle' swimming pool.

no way ive been 2 bpool so many times in the past couple of yrs and never actually knew what that was! never even heard it. was probably always drowned out by the pleasure beach tho, interesting! lol

The organ pipes run out through the sea wall, and at high tide (hence the name) the water forces air up the pipes making the noise.

awesome.... sat below that organ at low tide ...never saw the sign saying what it was ...thought it was a big sculpter and joked that it looked like an opening fern frond (a newzealand symbol) never new it was an organ ...awesome....damn oh well next time...thanks

My understanding is it is taken down every so often so it can be cleaned, painted and have any rusty bits replaced. I'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong.

I love Blackpool but I've never heard the organ before thanks for that.Every year I go early July this year,if you fancy a look at mine check out google video mesmoland I have a recording of most rides now.

Thanks for that! The High tide organ is worth hearing is you are there when the tide is in. I'm heading down soon to try out these rides for myself, been many times but never been on any of them.
