Personally, I'd take the BMW over the Mits. I think it is much sexier and refined. I currently drive a 94 3000GT VR4 with a boost controller, new chip, upgraded intakes and exhaust system. (haven't tested it but i'm guessing 320-350 hp at the wheels. My uncle has a 2008 M3 and although my car comes close in speed and acceleration the m3 definately has a better feel driving, especially when taking corners.

I don't know about the evo in here, never driven or riden in one but by looks. m3 ftw

bmw engines are a big ass pain in the but to work on compared to my 3000GT. My cousin has a 98 m3 and getting the right 3rd party parts is a pain in the ass, same with my friends 330. In general, aftermarket parts are easy for japanese cars. with that in mind, i personally enjoy working on cars but I'm getting to the point where I just don't have time anymore.

M3 sucks, BMW are not too reliable. After the warranty expires they start having over-heating problems, electronic problems, transmission problems, differential problems. My family and I have owned 3 models of the Beemer family from 5 series to M3's and they all break down. That's why I stick to Japanese cars as they are made to last.
