I did this shit back before there were power tools, or electricity. Took us 7 years to build an outhouse.
That's what my Grandpa told me once. He was level on a level and plumb with the world. I worked for him every summer. He would spit tobacco juice at me if I pissed him off, or he would grab a hand full of nails and sling them at me. That was one mean ole basterd, but, by the time I was 22, I was a lead man making top dollar. They don't make them like him anymore.
@magprob That is what I call walking the straight and narrow. Glad to hear there are staunch guys out there. You must be pissed off with how your country is going down the toilet mate? Walk tall.
Straight Flush usually refers to a table saw. My preference in hand held circular saws is Dewalt or Makita. We use both in the timber frame business and have had great luck with both. You fill find however people are passionate about power saws like Fords vs Chevy's. I'm sure someone will say, Maikat and Dewalt are crap saws....We like like them.
I'm looking at getting my husband a new saw for his birthday, any advice on what one? I heard of a new one coming out called the straight flush, do you know who makes it?
Two cuts instead of four still makes it worth the investment. Had that not been rough-cut lumber it cuts straight through a 6x6. The biggest beam we worked in this barn was a 10x16x 26' long beam....That saw made short work of the tenons. Thanks for the posting. Ken
This is a beast for sure but it really does the work. Oddly, there is a warning on the saw....DO NOT USE OVERHEAD...Darn thing weighs in at 35 pounds.....It saved the day on our timber-framing projects for sure. Thanks for the comment.
@pvf1799 ,28.7lbs,,,Not trying to be a smartAzz, i just seen another video on the saw and thats the number they gave, Maybe the one you used had a rearview mirrior and maybe even a seat, lol As for the warning about using it overhead, anyone that can hold that thing over their head and make a cut could just use a handsaw and cut a beam.haha
Get a bigger saw!

@leeriley66 It's news to me that the US is "going down the toilet".
But at least I live in a country that has been out of the toilet, unlike your 3rd. world country that's never contributed anything to the world.
Speaking of toilets, do you still have indoor plumbing (pissing on your dirt floor) or have you upgraded to an outhouse now?

@breezebro I am glad we still live in a time where freedom of speech exists. We all have our own opinions I guess. Cheers for the input mate.
