@2strokedetroit Being a 65', It was a 289 if it was the original engine. The 289 has a 4.0 inch bore and 2.87 inch stroke as opposed to the 302's 4inch bore and 3 inch stroke. The 302 was a similar block in relation to layout but The 302's block has longer cylinder skirts (.015-inch longer) to accomodate the longer stroke

came in the car when i bought it, i took this motor out and sold it right after i bought the car) I have been building a Brand new Blown 347 which will be put in the car on 05/26/08. Vids will follow of the new motor. The new motor will hopefully be around 575 to 600hp. Thanks for all the comments, I cant take credit for the way the car is already set up though, i purchased it this way. New motor, tranny, paint, and better tires will follow soon. Stay posted!!!

Great car, great sound. The 331 is such a great little engine. I've built one as well! Makes about as good power as the 347, but without all the drawbacks of a 347 such as the extreme rod/stroke ratio, rod angle, and piston speed. These engines will go 100,000 miles where the 347's wear out at 40,000 miles. Great vid man!
