wow dude, that was amazing, doing this great turn you saved your 3 lives and you have shown that you're a very skilled pilot, knowing what you're doing, my respect to you
good job man,,,,ignore the naysayers,,,they fly flight simulators and have no real piloting skills,,,just books and hangar flying. Basically,,,your options were straight ahead in the trees,,,or a decending turn back to the airport into the trees or making the runway. Eat the meat and spit the bones and become a pilot that people prefer based on actions instead of words! Good job man
I hear ya! Thanks a bunch. If i went by the book it was the lake or the trees. I figured being i had a touch of power just make the turn and if it was going to buffet I was going wings level and landing in the tree tops.

there is good flying and there is bad flying...that my friend.............was superb that was using every instinct you have as an airmen........... absolutely incredible
below 500 agl you should just fly straight man, that was a dangeorus maneuver i can hear the stall warning all the way while turning... so close from a spin...
@sowmach I hear you. Everything went into slow motion, I decided in the lake...or in the trees.... I then realized we had the power to hold the altitude granted the stall warning was wailing. The turn was initiated and the day turned out alright. No buffeting at all either. But i know exactly where you are coming from.
Great pilot. Good judgment and good coordination! If it was another pilot in your seat, well, I'm not sure if the outcome would have been favorable. 5/5!
Well the shit was flying out of his ass I'll tell you that! Says where they were flying out of if you can understand that Brazilian broken english! :)
holy shit... I'm just doing my PPL Licenze and I hope that this will never ever happen to me. Very fast and good reaction by the pilot.. cudos the stall warning would have freaked me out already...
Fabulous job!

I teach that maneuver but at 500' with partial power and landing with a slight tailwind (4,500' runway) done it maybe 400 times already.
Your Reaction time was about 1 second, not the 5 seconds a pilot in panic will take and stall it. Good job.

@f0rn1c0n
Never found the reason. Demanded the plane be ferried out by someone else with a bigger set of balls. I wasn't about to risk it.

Thank you! It was a scary day but the training paid off within those 30 seconds.

every pilots worst nightmare.. at 250 AGL, you can't just come down in the middle of a city, sure makes sense to fly in non-populated areas!
