I have had a look at this and must say i am imprssed i can see sum wing chun infulences in this Modern Arnis sum great techniques and serious damaging attacks.... :)
Excellent example of the old brush, grab and strike drill. This was the first empty hand drill that Datu Kelly Worden showed us years ago. Even though we now go deep into the hubad thang, you are correct in stating that this drill really works. and is probably one of the best example of simple and direct counter-counter sinawalli boxing, without getting too "slappy" and loose.
thank you very much. this short clip demonstrates SO MUCH about what is cool with Modern Arnis. we don't formally have Hubad, however we have this which in my opinion is much more random and is much closer to achieving flow in a realistic sense that other drills i have seen.
bit similar to my grandpa's balintawak system
