Actually the way i see it, is that some of us who grew up on the Attitude Era were kids. And The Rock, Stone Cold etc were to us what John Cena and Randy Orton are to kids these days. There's a striking similarity except all the blood, crude humor that came with the Attitude Era. Besides, Careers last longer these days because of the PG change, so in hindsight it saved a lot of Superstars lives. The PG change was, while not a popular choice, it was a smart one in a business perspecive.

Big Show, was out a month ago. Kane is still out (i think). That wasn't extreme matches? I used the Air Bourne to RKO as an example, because it isn't even a hardcore match. It's a normal 1 on 1 match on RAW.

Agreed. It did help that kayfabe was still alive and well during the Golden Era, so characters and cartoony gimmicks actually worked and were very entertaining, but none the less, they had outstanding talent and great writing.
