yo pienso que eso paso porque los super intendents que trabajan ahi ellos no valen verga , ellos andan preocupados por darle backcharges alos subcontractors por:no hard hats $150,si no terminan el trabajo en un dia le cobran al trabajador $100,subir la troca al drive way $50;dejar basura adentro de la casa$50 por dia,etc ,etc ,etc,por andar preocupados por eso ustedes creen que van apoder checar la calidad de trabajo?

Its interesting to me that there is no hand rail above the wall. Was it removed? Or was it never there? In Georgia we are required to install handrails or fences along the length of a wall such as this one.

It's obvious that the soil was not compacted adequetely or with sufficient moisture during the compaction process.

Soil should be compcted slightly moist of optimum so it drains over tim and becomes more stable. The top layer should contain enough clay as to act like a roof for the compcted fill soils.

Not sure I would want to be in that excavator. I would like to know who thought holding back thousands of tons of earth with a thin rock wall was a good idea?

I am a Registered Professional Engineer in 16 states (not TX yet) who specializes in the design of large and small retaining walls. I want to recommend that in the rush to make this wall safe, that information should be obtained that will assist in determining the cause. Don't rush and destroy samples. Obtain accurate measurements, get many photos, obtain soil samples and store them properly.
