  • Thanks for the video ;-)

  • @Skeebow42 Brah, what are you talking about? this is 16 years old

  • this band is good to be a one hit wonder. there are better than some 90s band that had more than one hit.

  • What is it about this song...........I can't even explain how it makes me feel...........I miss the good old days.

  • wao that song reminds me when i was in the high School those days will never come back !

  • program please subscribe to my channel for more cool videos and FREE traffic.

  • Reminds me of better days

  • @Skeebow42 Considering that most of the general public were just getting their first cell phones in 1996(when Rocket, the album this song was on, was released) its pretty reasonable to think that pay phones still had a use at that time.

  • I don't no why this guy just doesn't get a goddamn cell phone, because that's one fucked up phone both. It's in the middle of fuckin' nowhere, there's no door on the goddamn think, (Fuck, Superman couldn't even change in it.), and he probably can't hear a goddamn thing with all those planes screeching by. The only thing good about it is the little urchin that pops out of it in the end. Besides, I thought only Mexicans and hobos used pay phones.

  • chilling..and brings back a lot of vague memories for me......

    long live the '90s.

  • Miss my lover :(

  • This song is THE 90's for me. My ex made me a mix CD and this is the first song on it. Words cannot describe what this song does to me. Miss her every day.

  • Money has no value.Humanity is the value.

  • @2:40-when the part with piano starts... I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH!

  • Best use of a sample ever !

  • Every time i hear this awesome song i ride the waves but don't know where they go !Banff

  • This song stirs something inside me...

  • INCREDIBLE!!!!!!

  • "If I die, before I learn to speak.. can money pay for all the days I lived awake but half-asleep."

  • this song would be good for a reflection when played when you are at airport, at a bus stop or at a train station after a 5 hour commute or while travelling.

  • Howard Stern used to play this, think it was when going through his divorce. Blast from the past, even better than YAZ/Allison Moyet. Keep on

  • The sample is not BB King...Its RL Burnside...Check it out...

  • This always takes me back to my mid-teen days. Good times. I miss those years.

  • This song has got a badass fuckin' drum loop and a dope BB King sample. I remember 106.3 FM playing this all the time and it was a milestone of my youth...

  • i'm not one to comment on youtube videos really, but i heard this song for the first time a couple months ago. i was sleeping in bed listening to AOLRadio: Meloncholia and it worked itself into my dream. i pulled myself awake enough to right down what it was.

I'm amazed how this song managed to slip through before. I have quite an expansive collection of music and always love this kind of sound. It's since become one of the top 10songs I've heard. imo.

  • @pjbottoms consider yourself lucky! At least you finally get in touch with such a beautiful song like this. This song is just very nostalgic and one of the most beautiful songs I've heard. Been listening to it for more than a decade and still hasn't worn me out

  • @ashmantoronto buddy you have no idea how much i agree with you

  • Good old music, you dont hear songs like this air the radio anymore

  • i wish good music were more part of the mainstream, so then i could actually find more songs like these. it's like i have to go out of my way to find good music, and that's a pain.

actually found this from the radio though.

  • @MisterRunon Only in the 20th century, this song was always on the radio back in the 90s

  • Goddamn right, where are the primative radio Gods now?

  • i heard this son for the first time when i was on plane to india in 1996. i think

  • This song is good!

  • how old is this song!?

  • I've been downhearted baby... ever since the day we met.

  • the part wit the little girl made me cry a lot once

  • I'll never forget the first time I heard this song. Ever.

  • Great song takes me back.

  • seconds ticking killed us all. damn

  • @hogey74 A million years before the fall.

  • @thekow :-) .. or maybe that should be :-(

  • beautiful song!! i would love hearing more of them

  • "If I die before I learn to speak

Can money pay for all the days I lived awake

    But half asleep?"

    Brilliant

  • love this tune

  • 49 viewers are stupid kids who text while driving, and don't know what a payphone is.

  • This song has a really good meditative quality to it. I like it more now than when it was on the radio.

  • @snoop0851 cool, well it was still a good point because in contrast to you barely finding them out, roughly 12+ years this song came out, contributes more to the fact it was underrated song and underrated band.

  • @snoop0851 Good point.

  • WTF????????????

  • I remember this vid was the shit when realword 5 in miami was on!!!!

  • @rd6659 then dude ur ufckin old... jk

  • @alexandher2 Haha! i know right!

  • the first time I heard this song I was cutting through Mississippi down I-59 going to New Orleans........I was driving and my husband was asleep in the passenger seat.........time stood still for me while I listened to this song -

  • @TheBunnyist I was driving around brisbane on a rainy night delivering pizzas! Just gliding along this felt like the soundtrack to my life :-)

  • @TheBunnyist

    great song :-)

  • @TheBunnyist Did either one of you kill hitchhikers? Someone once told me, that people who drive down I-59 are very bad people. If you are not a zombie or a vampire, then show your 'hippie side' or take a walk bad guy! You are a very bad person, you eat sugar, smoke 'butts' and drink moonshine. Because you needed to have 'time stand still' you decided to be a bad person! You are a bigot! You are a racist!
  • @fntime are you on drugs?

  • @TheBunnyist No question there. He's a few neurotransmitters short of a coherent thought.

  • @TheBunnyist great story. amazing the random things that stay alive in our memories for years.

  • @TheBunnyist lame

  • @TheBunnyist love it when music does that, love music,

  • Sittin on the beach smoking a fat j song.. loooove it

  • Been trying to figure out the name of this song for a long time. Typed in phonebooth with change, and it came up! So happy, because it's an awesome tune.

  • I remember listening to this song when I was younger. I never really payed attention to the lyrics; I just liked the music, but now looking it up I find the lyrics are my favorite part. Thanks for posting this video!

  • I will never get tired of this song D:< OMG! how amazing is this tune. 5 stars!

  • Anyone remember a video that came out around the same time as this one that had a little girl riding her tricycle all around the world??? Everytime I hear this song it reminds me of that song & video, but I can never remember who they are by.

  • @SirrahMDorraj No Rain by Blind Melon?

  • @carrier5555

Nope, not by Blind Melon (that little girl was in a bee costume - I loved the vid!!!). The one I'm talking about has this little Indian (I think) girl riding her tricycle around to different places and cultures all over the world. It was a very pretty vid and the music was just smooth!

  • @SirrahMDorraj Deep Forest.....Great music

  • @carrier5555

I found it!!! The song is "Sweet Lullaby" by Deep Forest, 1992

  • I love this song. Been so long since I heard it thanks uploader. :)

  • @OMFGsoBOARD That would be B.B. King

  • Man I miss the 90's sometimes. I missing driving to college classes every morning and being glad when a song came on the radio. Not like now where i wish the radio dj's heads would just blow up.

  • I like to make love to my boyfriend while this song is playing.

  • This song is nostalgia incarnate.

  • I just wanted to say that this song brings back so many memories... good memories.

  • this is my favorite song ever!, its sooo good

  • The BB King song is: "How Blue Can You Get?"

  • finally found my favorite song, after 1112 long yrs

  • I have always loved this song, something about it is just calming, yet some reason also depressing. But, I still love it

  • He sampled BB King. I forget which song

  • this song is so beautifully blended together!

  • WLIR 92.7.....................Remember!!!!

  • Why does it seem like songs like this from the nineties are so much better than anything out there today?...I'm starting to feel like an old grandma: "When I was a girl, blah, blah". But it really does seem like there was so much more ingenuity and feeling in this decade that was not so long ago

  • @andyouseethelight I don't think it's merely just a perception that things "seemed" better in the nineties - this is actual reality. Music really sucks now. The 90s was an extremely inventive decade with an "anything goes" kinda vibe. People didn't give a fuck because it was cool or hip, it just felt natural after the 80s era of excess and extravagance. Most mainstream music coming out now is forced and uninspired trend-following garbage.

  • @ute345 amen to that brother

  • @ute345 A-fucking-men man. So so true. Music today you can clearly see a format they follow with the beat, the lyrics and the chorus. Its basically just insert 'A' into 'B' etc and there is your song. 90s music was so so diverse. From pop to rap to alternative to house. Everything today is essentially pop at its basest form. And, generally, the worst kind of pop

  • @biddy117

There's still good music out there but you'll never in hell hear it on the radio. I, too, wish the days were back when pop actually could be creative as well as catchy. Turning on a "rock" station these days gives me the horrors. So much mediocrity.

  • @andyouseethelight u r not the only one....i cry when they add songs like this and U2 to the oldies playlist on the radio. im like, wtf? lmao...im not oldddd

  • @starcharm Yer not old! This song reminds us of how YOUNG we still are! Enjoy the tunes and LOVE U2...... "40" and just about all they sing since "BOY".....1st album I bought! You're not alone!!

  • this song is ridiculously chill. i just had a horrible break-up with my boyfriend, and all i want to do is stroll city streets listening to this tune.

  • The song meaning just blows my mind...

  • Somehow I was singing this song in my mind while Im working. Gotta love this song. <3

  • This song will be played as my ashes are spread across Downtown Fort Worth. Fucking parade.

  • Almost finally passed to jewemuchos results. Years of Almost hear is almost a jewel in the nineties. THE EDGE almost crying in 14 years.

  • i hear this song all the time in the airport and late nite at grocrey stores haha songs fucking awesome

  • DoDoDoDoDoDoDo

  • I've always liked this song... prefect flow

  • One of the more underrated songs of the 90s.

  • @Rogentx

i totally agree its a classic in my book for years to come.

  • I guess these guys are still around. You can buy their new album digitally from their website. I only heard a little sample of one of the songs, it sounded kinda low-fi but melodic. I thought, "I could get into this". Problem is, my time is short and there's only so much time to listen to music, I feel like I have to choose very carefully what I allow myself to listen to. I miss this song by the way, gives me a nostalgic feeling. peace

  • First time i remember hearing this song i was in a bowling alley right on the middle lane working, nobody was bowling or anything it was awesome it was kinda creepy being in there by myself hearing this song

  • We swim like lions through the crest and bathe ourselves in Zebra Flesh..

  • I don't know why, but I tend to listen to this song late at night when I'm just mulling around the internet with nothing to do.

  • @tylerdurden3891

  • The song fucking rocks!

  • I love it that these guys used BB King as their chorus.

  • Unforgettable song, seemingly simple, but there is no other song like it !

  • WHAT I WAS LIKE N THE 5 TH GRADE THAT YEAR THIS SONG CAME OUT

  • I remember listening to this and Spacehog's 'In The Meantime' a lot that year

  • When I listen to this song, I picture someone on another world attepting to pick up radio-waves from space. And then, all of a sudden, they hear the beat for this song on the radio breaking through the static......

  • If you love this one, which I do, you may like A Whiter Shade of Pale by Procal Harum as well. Tried to include a link but it won't let me.

  • omg, i finally found it!!!!! gasp!! yay!!!

  • i cannot stop listening to this song

  • @zeronyskater I know, I've spent an hour just listening to this over and over and over...

  • @zeronyskater ME neither!

  • alll you had to do was type telephone booth you fucking retards

  • @MrKjames1, are you serious, you have to such an asshole prick that you actually need to make fucking remarks like that because they couldn't find the song. The name of the song is not in the lyrics, and it hasn't been on the radio since 96, so you tell me how they know how to type in telephone booth. Most people only remember part of a song after that long of time. It took me a while to find the name of this song. So go fuck yourself with your fist, you piece of shit.
