I've been an EA sports Nba live fan since 99.

I've got both NBA 2k9 & live 09.

I say that 2k9 is better because it has better graphics (1080i HD) & better gameplay.

Live 09 is a joke, the graphics are bad & it looks like retro. There's no change in gameplay, still the old moves.

I own 2k9 and It is shit. Association mode sucks dick. Game play is fucking bunk. You can't even go online and play team play because it's glitched as fuck and most of the time you can't get a connection. I'm tired of broken animations.

When a player goes for a layup you can contest it but most of the time the player goes right through the other. Atleast Live has an indeapth dynasty mode along with be a pro.

i have both game. 2k9 has some better stuff then live mainly the shooting stick. but 2k9 isnt as easy to play as live. live is much easier to play off the shelf, while 2k9 is harder. live isnt quite as good, but for some reason my tv cuts off part of the 2k9 game because it is not a widescreen tv. if you have a plasma or something get 2k9 but otherwise it can be annoying. one thing live does a lot better is the dna thing and nba live 365.

that is one thing I don't like about NBA 2K9. I was playing the Chicago Bulls the other day in the 1st round of the playoffs. I was being the Heat. About 4 or 5 times I went to block and the defenders hand literally went right through the ball. I ended up losing that game 69-68 because Luol Deng hit a 3 at the end of the game. Lucky I won the 3 games before that.
