The first clip (the one that was played in error) was apparently from October 2004. The abductee for that clip, Kayla L. Dean, was 16 at the time (she turned 17 the following month) and I heard that for an Amber Alert to be issued, the abductee has to be 17 years old or younger. So when Kayla Dean was abducted in '04, she just barely qualified for an Amber Alert in terms of her age.

In about 99% of the cases ive seen, the kidnappers car is found by police or good samaritans within a few hours. Only occasionally is it some random Pedobear kidnapping some random little kid.

To be honest, it seems like most Amber Alert EAS broadcasts are haphazard in nature. I remember the State Police broadcasted one here in MA, a few years back, Boston accent and all... and the announcer would stop in the middle of a description for one child and start the next... which really made it seem pretty crap on their part.
