Hello there! Have you considered intellectus 424 diet (google it)? Ive heard some unbelivable things about it and my cousin lost a ton of weight with it.
Chet had a way of making the notes flow from his fingers like no other. I can listen to 2 dozen different guitarist play the same instrumental and I could pick Chet out of all of them blindfolded.
Chet finds a way to play this piece so that it does justice in spirit to Fats Waller's original, which was payed on an organ, and I think Waller's only waltz. Charlie Byrd's take on this is more complicated, but also interesting for a comparison.
Chet was a guy who loved "pretty" in his music. And this is truly a 'pretty' song. He Loved shows where he could have a string ensemble with him so he could do songs like this...
@southmtn2000 I'm just 4 years older. growing up in the Beatles era, I never understood why I was not in awe of them like everyone else. I kept saying there's MORE to music than guitars & drums. And I still think I'm right. The piano & violins just add such a polish to the purity of Chet's sound. No nearly blown out amps to distort the sound, just artistry at work. My channel's 700 playlists are a tribute to such music, covering 400 great artists, like Chet, 100 genres, & every year since 1900.
Chet is revered by many & rightfully so. A man so proficient yet humble & seemingly so at peace to be doing what he loves... it makes you take stock in mankind again.
Personally I'm uncomforatble comparing guitarists in general as there are so many styles. Chet was certainly the very best at his style and my favorite guitarist over all...Jack Baker NYC
@anthonweed Yes he does, and Chet has often talked about him being an influence of his also. Chet loved the jazz, classical and spanish type guitarists quite a lot. He often commented on how he couldn't play flamenco himself and loved the style. He was a one of a kind for sure.
The difference between Chet and most other guitarists is how easy he makes it look -- so easy in fact that many other guitarists dismiss his greatness. If Chet's not the greatest, it sure wouldn't take long to call roll of those greater.
@mickyfrombybh - Chet would tell you that many guitarists are greater than him. Fact is, many of the guitarists Chet would rank in or above him would not have been the great guitarists they are (or were) without Chet's influence. Just like Chet would not have been as great as he was without the influence of guitarists such as Merle Travis and Django Reinhardt.
I like the ending from the other recording better, with the tremolo notes.. good stuff

Chet recorded at least four versions of this tune going back to 1951, each one better than the last.
Quit kidding around! None greater.
