  • Well done Dara, your brill. As always. Hilarious xx

  • What was the Frankie Boyle/Jonathan Ross thing that Dara references at the beginning? Was it something the two of them did together, or is Dara talking about the Jonathan Ross/Russell Brand AND Frankie Boyle/Rebecca Adlington thing?

  • @PLupa2 The latter.

  • @PLupa2 Probably just a note that the two of them can be rather rude during their shows, so the rest of them must be more careful. That's how I understood it at least.

  • How does a handyman afford such good seats?? Need to get in on that if the money is so good

  • @christinanana226 My dad is a handyman. He makes around 32 k crowns a year. That's a little of 3 thousand pounds.

  • Am I the only one who thinks the "brain surgeon" looks like the self-hating cobbler from the Talks Funny show?

  • Dara = a very tedious, boring safe, PC-friendly modern comic. His social commentary is shit. And his reasons for not making jokes about Islam are a cheap get out clause.

  • @SOS763 I don't quite understand how not knowing about it is a cheap get out clause... It seems like it would be a good idea to not just blindly ridicule something he knows nothing about.

  • @Cyrathil I don't think it's a case of not knowing anything about Islam. Islam is in the news daily, as a comic, is he really that blind? Doubt it. I'm an atheist and I know quite a bit about Islam. It's a cheap excuse to get out of making jokes about a very dangerous tyrannical ideology. And his assessment with, 'you don't know anything about Islam either', is just plain stupid. There are plenty of people as well as comics who know that Islam is retarded. He's just a bullshitter./

  • @SOS763 It might be that since you seem to have an interest in Islam it's something that is always in the news (it may or may not, I'm not from Great Britain), but to those who don't care, it's incredibly easy to just pass over what you find.

So, considering that he flat out stated he didn't care (I doubt he'd do catholic/protestant jokes had he not grown up in Ireland), and that it is actually conceivable that people can have different levels of information than you, why is it just BS?

  • @Cyrathil He lives for the most part in Britain. A place where Islam is causing controversy and discussion. A comic who lives spends a lot of time working here, whilst basing his work on similar social observations to everybody else, should at least attempt to offer a better excuse for not poking fun at Islam than to claim that non of us know anything about it and that he apparently doesn't care. I smell bullshit.

  • @SOS763 Again, he doesn't care about it. He's a comedian, and he does some social commentary, but that doesn't mean he has to care about Islam, whether it is causing controversy or not.

Also, we in the States had our own controversies around Islam in the past decade or so, and despite it being over the news for large stretches of time, I doubt there were many who were actually educated about Islam. I'd wager they were probably more informed before Islam got its time in the news...

  • @Cyrathil Okay, one more time: My point is that Dara comments on many controversial aspects of British life - yet he claims that his lack of criticism on Islam is based on the fact 'he doesn't care'. BULLSHIT. I don't buy it. It's a cop out - and his claim that most people don't know anything about Islam is, again, total crap. Britain is a varied place. Some of us are intelligent, some of us not so, and a decent comic who comments on life in the UK will know this. He's a cop out!

  • @SOS763 And my point is that he comments on things because they interest him. This isn't exactly rocket science.

  • @Cyrathil He's lying to you and to his audience. That's my opinion.

  • @SOS763 That's good for you, but it's backed up by nothing, so I remain unswayed.

  • @SOS763 :) something tells me you might like brendon burns, if you havent heard of him, defintiely look him up, very funny and clever comic.

  • @ISN1P3DI Will do. Cheers.

  • @SOS763 tell me what you think :)

  • Political correctness is something created by people that don't understand respect. If you had respect you wouldn't need to political correctness.

  • @speebyda You speak the truth good sir/madam. +1 internet for you.

  • @superduperdurkadurk Cool, all I need is four more internets and I won't be a noob.

  • "LETS ENGAGE, FUCKER!"

  • Dara is one of the funniest men in the world. I saw him live, when he talks about video games was the best. And yes he takes the mickey out of you and he doesn't go over the top. You'd be amazed at what the audience actually say to comedians, it's unbelievable.

  • Is that the Braniac anouncer...

  • The best Closed Caption mistake ever you say? 3:42 ... "i mean the hot tub with school kids" Bah ha ha haaaaa

  • haha the closed captions thing is hilarious! it makes no sense!

  • awesome, I dont even care if it was planned

  • absolutley hilarious

  • that's me after a night with an audience member by the way.

    vulnreble, but satisfied. ;)

  • Frankie Boyle and Jonathan Ross fucked it up. xD

  • OMG*&^*%^$&OEK OEIUFIEYEBGY!!!! I only JUST found out this exists! My night's saved by entertainment! ^^

  • This video is online for a year now. Thank you very much! Over here in Germany, we'd never get to see people like Dara live, so again: Thank you! And of course to Dara for "not really noticing" this... :-D

  • I love Dara. I must say, though. The brain surgeon was a cobbler in one of his previous routines. Does he bring the first row with him whereever he goes? :)

  • @55crazychick dara is so brilliant it's worth going again and again

  • @55crazychick

    Yeah haha

  • lol, what an introduction XD

  • I love how half of Dara's show is rehearsed and the other is completely improvised - and I hardly think he bullies members of the audience. In his own words, "he makes gods of them"

  • This is proof that all Irish people are epic :)

  • @TheGtrgh Never met an Irish person I didn't like. Awesome people.

  • @InfamousM3dia

    Ah thanks very much

  • @InfamousM3dia thank you lol

  • Dara is amazing. The way he linked all 3 guys at the end was awesome.

  • It's not Dara O'Briain it's Dara Ó Briain

  • @IrishModelRail how the feck do you get the fada :L

  • @Tcrudden

Press 'Alt Gr' key at the same tim as the letter.

  • He moves too fast for me in this... I wish he'd draw some of the people out more, interact and not bully.

  • @TrueEmergence it's not bullying though, it's just banter.

As far as comedians go, I'd say he was pretty friendly

  • Dara, I <3 yu!!! xoxoxox

  • This guy is a comic genius.

  • Simon has a hot wife

  • "Kent...ok, not South London, Okay?"

  • My throat hurts from laughing so much, my god. xD

  • Is Dave the Brain surgeon the Cobbler from a different DVD?

  • @kolmf

    Yeah, that's what I thought!

  • That many views in a day! :D his mammy must be so proud! :)

  • go to the closed captions thing, and turn on transcribe audio... and sit back on a bucket - because you'll piss yourself laughing :P

  • I was muslim ages ago and i really went ' what fucking horse is he fucking talking about!?'

  • I remember I got front row tickets to Dara's show last year and he targeted my brother. Best moment of my life! I laughed so hard I thought I would give myself a heart attack. My brother even got a autograph after the show. Apparently he doesn't pick on the girls which was a disappointment because I would love to see what he would have to say about my life.

  • "I don't forget anything ya fucker!!" xD

  • the organ sounds like music from zelda

  • This was AMAZING. His ability to just TALK to people is phenomenal. Hilarious.

  • Bingety bingety bingety bingety BING? xD

  • "but fuck it, lets engage fucker!"

    i loled :D

  • Dara, Frankie Boyle, Jimmy Carr are by far my favorite Comics from the British Isles.

  • @irbthejames don't say british isles when you say dara

  • @irbthejames AHEM...Bill Bailey

  • @irbthejames Bill Bailey, Billy Connolly, Kevin Bridges, Tommy Teirnan, Ed Byrne, Jason Byrne...etc, etc, etc...

  • @irbthejames Rhodd Gilbert's my comedian of the moment.

  • @irbthejames same, i love sean lock as well though

  • This show really needs a "love" button.

  • I fuckin' love Dara O'Briain!

  • Dara = Stewie from Family Guy.

  • the builders wife is hot

  • @vietwillIam8080 and you're gay

  • It's incredible how witty and quick on his feet Dara is. His improv skills are out of this world.

  • The "surgeon" is the same guy from "Dara O'Briain Talks Funny". He's one of the crime-fighting cobblers. I find it funny he chose to lie rather than try and jog Dara's memory.

  • brilliant!

  • you have to love the irish

  • Forward to 08:41 :3 And pause there ^^

  • @225ThomasMoore WOW,THAT'S AMAZING! No,it's not.

  • Forward to 08:41 :3

  • thanks for uploading

  • Dear Europe,

Why can't I buy this DVD (or any of his DVDs) in America? I'm forced to watch it on Youtube. Think about it.

    Love,

    Me.

  • I was there when this was filmed. It was an incredible night!

  • I actually had no idea this show even existed and just stumbled across it by accident. Loved Dara's last show though (Talks Funny), so hopefully this is as good as that was.

    Thanks for the upload.

  • Dear Dara O'Briain's manager- get Dara's shows released on US formatted DVD. I'm tired of watching this on YouTube and feeling slightly icky because I'm not properly supporting such great talent.

  • 1:00 to skip the piano shite!

  • @Lynx251 Thanks. The additional culture was UNBEARABLE.

    This is not sarcasm btw

  • Flaherty vs. The Blight

  • Has he gotten a divorce? I don't see his wedding ring.

  • @warmgulfwind I don't think he was ever married.

  • @Eoaiyer21987rhei Really? Oh. He wore a ring on his left ring finger for a long time (perhaps not the traditional hand for a wedding ring in the UK?), and I thought he mentioned a wife before. Anyone would be lucky to have him, I think he's gorgeous.

  • @warmgulfwind No, I'm wrong. He mentions it in the next video (he's still married, if you haven't seen it).

Wedding rings are worn on the left hand ring finger in the UK.

  • Dear Dara,

    Come to America.

    Thanks,

    John

  • I feel great after watching this but also a bit guilty im watching this amazing comedians material for ftree... perhaps I will buy the DVD.

  • @AICabal Oh, Dara, almost had me for a second! Commenting on our own videos' are we now..? ;)

  • Simon's wife is hot.

  • I'm in tears, this video has less than a quatre of a percent dislikes.

    DARA = GOD

  • just ..wow :D

  • dara is a comic king

  • im so buyen this dvd, have all his stuff

  • dude's amazing at talking haha

  • Has this been posted on youtube by the kid filming on his mobile? lol

  • every fucking american comidian should watch Daras stand up before going to the EU

those fuckers get angry when they are interrupted by audience members-.-

  • @Kretain most comedians do get angry, they just deal with it in different ways. Dara is just better at it then others.

And dont start that shit about it just being americans

  • @hungeredone Nono, you missunderstand..

In the US, if you raise your voice in a club with a comedian on stage, you will be either A, escorted out of the club by the bouncer or B, asked to shut the fuck up. The comedians in the US are more actors then stand up's

I have no idea why that is, but in the UK and most parts of the EU, you are free to do whatever you want as a viewer, but you have to be prepared to get verbally shat on if the comedian is prepared.

  • @Kretain Im not really convinced, becaused ive been to clubs and comics many times in the states, and a few basement showings in britain. From my experience it is based on the club or the comic, half the time they encourage it because it gives them more material to publicly shit on people. So please dont bring up the shit about being american the cause of it.

  • @hungeredone oh for fucks sake-.-

It's like you think im bashing the us or someshit..

I've seen around 10 interviews with comics from the us and the eu, they all say the same thing, "I was performing in the us, then went to the uk for a quick set, was almost shitting myself because of the amount of crowd perticipation" and so on and so forth.

    Stop taking every-fucking-thing personally..

  • Oh and, bbc shouldnt be affraid of offending anyone. If you fucking say "spoon" on tv theres a thousand nutjobs on earth who go "OH MY GOD U BASTARD >:o !" and are offended. So no need trying not to offend anyone. its useless! if u say u like the colour blue thered be a few thousands suddenly hating you. let comedians be like frankie boyle more and worry less, bbc xD

  • Finally a new dara obrian performance on youtube!! I was tired of watching the other ones over and over and over and over again!

  • PC hasn't gone that mad...someone's obviously still offended. There's still those jobless old biddies writing pointless fucking letters to Points of fucking View!

  • The "brain surgeon" was the cobbler from Dara O'Briain Talks Funny! As funny as he is, I feel a bit let down.

  • @LifeInMyBox No he isn't. Look again mate. Clearly 2 different men who just happen to be fat and bald.

  • Who is the troll that hit dislike by mistake?!

  • "Easy political rant"

    Sums it up pretty good.

  • This comedian is a phenomenon when it comes to improvise jokes.

  • They really do need to do a better job with the microphones. It looks like he has a massive fat wart on his face.

  • @godoftoast1989 if that was suppossed to be funny it failed misserably

  • Dave looks like the crime-fighting cobbler.

  • sounds like "beware: the chass" and not "chat"...god I love being Irish :)

  • fuck it lets engage fucker hahah legend :D

  • Love him.

  • *Starts video*

God damnit, Why did King's Quest boot up?

  • And B: neither do you :p

  • Phillip Schofield watched this.

  • Simon's wife is hot!

  • 39,771 views and 1 dislike.

There's always one sad fucker isn't there?

    There's always one.

  • whats PC?

  • @kinglynx political correctness

  • sorry to burst that bubble mr hamster but muslims do watch comedy shows. and some of us happen to think this man is hilarious :)

  • @hellomybaby1001 What? Muslims all live in caves, and spontaneously explode when they come in contact with western culture!

  • Comment removed

  • @hellomybaby1001 i think he was speaking ironically in mockery of that other guy's comment. what he has said is too silly to be real hate, y'know....?

  • @LionelRaw fair enough :)

  • @hellomybaby1001 You should have your irony-meter checked, it seems to be malfunctioning.

  • @lorddaybreak if that was your intention, i apologize.

  • muslims dont watch comedy shows, so it doesnt matter...

  • Hmm is that quote an insight into why Frankie left Mock The Week?

  • Pure genius!

  • 1 person is Dara O'Briain =/

  • yay a way to relax during finals thanks for being funny Dara

  • Wow! I didn't know that one could play so many tunes with such many rows of keyboards!

  • Great banter from simon :)

  • "il spanero"

    classic

  • He keeps taking about Mock the Week. Is it coming back?

  • @MrLazyEyes Yes, tomorrow!

  • Got the DVD, but I was browsing youtube and I found this... Seems a waste of time to dig out the disc!

  • I never get tired of this particular show.

  • Everytime I watch this, I always think the 'brain surgeon' looks like the cobber from another Dara Obriain standup show. The one that chased the jewellery thief.

  • @ZoraShedevilOfMadnes I always think the same. Dara gets so lucky with audience members. Why is it only interesting people sit at the front at comedy shows?

p.s. i loved the cobbler gags. A cobbler chasing a jewel thief, catching him, releasing him, then chasing him again... Hilarious.

  • He is amazing at remembering stuff!!!!!

  • 1 person wouldn't know comedy if it fucked him in the ass

  • @kdude1575

    well phrased, lol.

  • @kdude1575 it's probably that catscanflyhigh no lifer twat that keeps spamming all dara videos -.-

  • FUCK PC, LET'S GO FOR IT!!! LOL
