the reason this sounds so good live is probably because they cleaned it up when they put it on CD. It has the same pace and tempo of them live but its just cleaned up for the purpose of it being on CD.

they probably took takes from several shows and picked the best take of each song. A lot of bands do this. They also probably practiced the stuff a lot before the recorded shows. I think the fact that they normally don't give a fuck when they play live could be part of why they usually suck live. Maybe they gave a shit for this.
