  • @RavanaMad ... The .prj file, while not mandatory, is recommended when working with GeoServer as it contains valuable projection info in case of multiple layers of when u need to do some confrontation.

  • Nice video. One question: Do you need to import the shapefile using a specific Projection or Coordinate System? By the way... can you make a video explaining how to import into GeoServer shapefiles stored in PostGIS (in case you also use it) ?

  • @RavanaMad no, u dont need the SRS to import it.

    i have used postgis to store shape files. if i will have time to do this ur welcome.
