Thanks for making such a well constructed argument. I agree that our health care system in the US is inefficient, but nationalizing it isn't the answer. Like parents and children, the more you depend on another entity, the more power they wield over you
eerm Healthcare as a right provided by the Government does NOT mean Nationalizing al healthcare companys, nor taking away freedoms.
I have a Constitutional right to health care in my county. We have no National health insurance , we have around 80 private owned heath insurance companys, we have no Nationalised Pharma, we have Novartis Roche etc. private companys.
maybe you should inform yourself before talking crap.
The government of the USA certainly has no problem making the military the way it is and drafting people. I do not see how they cannot use some money to care for its people. Just because it is a certain way in Canada does not mean it could be made both ways. Public and private health care. That is not impossible. Once again. They spend their asses off killing people. Hmm.
We in civilised countries lose money through bureaucracy, you lose lifes and health of some, and security of most. People take crap from employers because losing job and getting sick at the same time might leave you in the gutter. The hell with it, you as a nation probably get less healthcare for spent money in the world. Banned privet hospitals is bs. In civilazed healthcare system there is no one profiting from NOT treating a patient, like your insurance companies. You are getting assraped.
by wealthiest people that also control your government. You have no rights, you have options and one is to hope to not get sick because no one would treat you. In most countries you have a RIGHT for treatment, meaning they GOT to treat you, and they don't mind bacause they get payd for it and it's their calling, and the ones who pay - All don't mind ether, because they want a society where evryone can feel safe. Safe enough to defend and demand rights and freedoms.
This is a great video and I have just subscribed to your channel. Keep up the good work. This is the response I would give the Theresident but you did it better so my particular input would be redundant.
You make alot of sense. I have no doubt your intellectual caliber is far higher than 'the resident' As I've seen her videos, just a few minor disclaimers:
-She doesn't care about rationality
-She wouldn't care about your opinion anyways
-She's an experienced Sophist
-She's experienced at being animated, note she's real 'in your face' and new-ish
-the amount of viewers she gets makes your vids less known
Since I'm on your side; I hope you can build a channel to counter act her!
a private system. thats why public systems are there in the 1st place! privatise everything and you lock out a vast amount of your society. this systems are not designed to hold you captive, they are designed to provide a sense of equality. the only ones that feel they are held captive are the rich! because they dont want public ANYTHING, they dont give a damn about anybody but themselves.
allowing people to pay for their own medical care in a country with a public system would gradually destroy the public system.
The public system is there to serve those who otherwise could not afford it! abolishing it would render millions without help when they need it. the rich could allways afford their own healthcare, but public systems are designed to help those who would be helpless in a private system. the rich make up a minority in any country, the majority of people cannot afford
Yknow whats worse than governments? Corporations! If we had no regulators setting standards ; labour standards, environmental and human rights, it would be a race to the bottom! corporations use people like objects. corporations are psychopaths, a corporate run world would be far worse than the world we live in now. these days the government walks pretty much hand in hand with the corps,,but total free range worlwide corporatism would annihilate the planet! they already are.
govt makes me people feel safe from corporations when in fact they work together to hurt the public. corporations without govt would be good b/c they'd have to answer to the public and the review groups.
I pay about 65 euro a month for my healthcare insurance. I agree that cartels are bad for the consumer. However, we should take into account structural changes which could have increased prices.
In the Netherlands there was long a shortage of healthcare like heart operations because there was insufficient funds. Due to this people has to wait long risked dying. It did me think of the queues in the Soviet Union.
It seems some people see a division between the moral and the practical. Healthcare is not a right, but the market can still provide it better anyway...

It is NOT in the Constitution to provide these things...end of story.

time to keep your Constitution up to date then.

Logically, health care looks great on paper, but it actually fails to take into account the greedy human nature. People get bought off too easily.

I have no doubts about your intellectual caliber being superior to 'the resident'
Her videos are frequently overly emotional and irrational.
She's more concerned about garnering viewers to propagate her views, whether their right or not.
-She doesn't care about rational argument
-She doesn't care about your opinions
-She another media outlet
-She's overly animated, she knows how to appeal to people through videos
-Note the body language, the expressions, gestures, confining questions...

Great response.
Yeah, she played the role of walking contradiction in that video. Too much red tape and expense, so obviously the solution is more government. (-_-)
